This is a neat and thriving pub restaurant. All our dishes were carefully prepared and tasty - e.g. spiced roast squash with feta, yoghurt and pomegranate seeds; 'Matt's' Scotch egg with fries; crab tagliatelle; apple crumble with creme anglaise. Portion size is modest but certainly acceptable. Pleasant ambience. Service very friendly and fairly quick delivery of dishes, despite being a busy Friday evening. Our meal felt good value for money.

Very friendly welcome from all the staff. Good choice of dishes. My daughter and I chose the partridge which she found too tough. It was not overcooked but in mid February the game season is coming to an end. Perhaps a note on the menu for less experienced game eaters?

Lovely pub in a very picturesque village and we had a great table by the open fire. The food was very good, although a little expensive for some dishes. The service was excellent, the staff were very efficient and friendly! We will definitely return.

a fabulous Sunday Lunch with my house guests, we were wowed with exceptional service and delicious dishes. We chose the Roast Beef and Roast Lamb dishes which were so tasty but my top pick of the day was the Roasted Squash, Goats Cheese and Pomegranate salad as starter - can I have that as a main sometime please ?! Divine !

This was my second visit in just over a month, both occasions were groups of over 8 people. The atmosphere was very nice, the staff were friendly and attentive and coped very well with our groups with all courses arriving together even though the restaurant was full.
The food was of a good standard, with our group covering over half the options ( only minor points was partridge a little over done and the lamb a little rare for some taste ) but these a very minor points and overall everyone enjoyed their meal.
