We dined on a Wednesday it was very quiet with only a few tables occupied.
Service was very good, food was good we had the halibut and salmon fish cakes with a few side orders.

An absolutely delightful experience. The food, the ambience and the service were just exceptional and we hope to return before pushing on to our next adventure in Devon.
Being Australian we really do struggle with dogs being allowed into pubs etc. We are animal lovers but cannot understand how the health authorities allow pet access to places serving food and where customers may want the experience of the venue but without the hassle of sharing the moment with an animal. Of course we are the visitors to this country and totally understand there are venues that don't allow pets and so it is our choice where we eat etc. I just wonder if I had a pet pig would that beast be allowed into a venue? Joking of course but then again.....
Thank you very much for a wonderful experience - it was an absolute pleasure.

My wife thought it was great, I found d it slightly disappointing. On asking for leg of lamb after bit the waitress came back made a faux apology for not having it and offered li
loin of lamb at a higher price.
However otherwise good but expensive. will not return.

My meal was disappointing & the service slow. The overall atmosphere is lovely but a little pretentious for a country pub/restaurant!
I ordered Mozzeralla to start followed by the Fishcakes - the cakes were over cooked & nothing special at all - bland! The salad however was delicious packed full of flavour with a beautiful dressing.
Coffee was good.

Starting with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a very welcoming staff and great drinks (wine and beers). We found the roast amazing!! A delightful dish which we did not want to see the end of! we all took it, yet the rest of the menu is beautifully described and seemed to be amazing as well, will have to return to try the rest.
The desserts we equally rewarding. This time we each choose something different. All of us found our dessert so amazing we did not want to share. luckily the portions are generous and we could taste each others.
thank you for such a wonderful experience and lovely staff in the most beautiful little restaurant.

Beautiful country Inn and restaurant. Warm welcome from smiling staff. Pre-lunch drink in the lovely courtyard garden followed by the most perfect and delicious lunch in the restaurant which is just the most harmonious dining room with interesting art and subtle decor. Superb menu - well balanced with local and home grown ingredients. Courgette flowers in tempura batter was divine ! Would love to return again.
