In the picturesque village of Romsley, Halesowen, The Swallows Nest boasts well-loved British pub cuisine in a remote and tranquil destination, with fantastic country views. The rumoured ghost of an old landlady jealously guards the beautiful property and its ales. Your food can be enjoyed by the cosy log-fire, or in the garden, gifted with stunning views of Clent Hills and Waseley Hills.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Swallows Nest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Swallows Nest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

Deep in the West Midlands country, The Swallows Nest is 11 minutes’ driving to Hagley Train Station.

Although it was an extensive menu ,the vegetarian options were poor. The welcome extended to us was warm and friendly- as were the staff. I was disappointed with the quality of the food I had the prawn and lobster starter, it was very bland .Although the waiting staff responded to requests in a positive way - they then forgot to bring water, and we had to send a coke back- as it was almost all water. An attractive location and interior, but the food needs a serious look.. I did not feel it was value for money.

Lovely pub but felt our meal was very rushed as soon as we had finished our starter our main meal was put in front of us, also starter was sent back we had the Camembert to share but it wasn't melted enough, friendly staff but we won't be rushing back

A very pleasant experience. The service was good with friendly and helpful waiter/waitresses. I had a gluten free meal ie steak and chips without the onion rings - a nice meal but thought a small salad could have been included instead of the onion ring.

The waitress was either new or not happy she wasn't a good people person. Food wasn't presented as well as normal. Roast potatoes were virtually cremated, the bacon wrapped around the stuffing wasn't cooked well.

Start friendly and were able to answer all our questions without needing to ask anyone else. Food was well presented and tasty. Drinks were a little on the expensive side.
