Just 10 minutes’ drive from Chester Zoo, The Stamford Bridge is a traditional British pub with outdoor dining. Serving a mixture of classic pub favourites and gourmet international dishes, a fine range of cask ales and beers are a popular attraction.

The Stamford Bridge menu offers a range of cuisine. Along with a selection of fresh seafood, there are classic British favourites like slowly roasted shoulder of lamb with mint gravy, and pork with apple and stilton. International options can be found in the chicken tikka, or spiced Cajun chicken breast. Salads, light bites, and vegetarian options are all available.

A fantastic and constantly changing selection of beers and cask ales are served with pride at The Stamford Bridge restaurant. Along with rich desserts, there is also a superb world wine list.

With log fires and a cosy atmosphere, The Stamford Bridge Chester is a perfect example of the fine British pub.

Awful salad, Cesar salad covered in anchovies (hate fish) asked for them to be taken off.
Child's pizza asked for a plain cheese cake with loads of pepperoni
    Soup was lovely but cold

A vibrant noisy atmosphere, but obviously everyone was enjoying the food! We were quickly seated and although we ordered fairly quickly had to wait quite a long time for our first course to appear - a lovely selection of dipping breads -and then again for our main course. But the staff were so busy, as was the restaurant, and remained unruffled and polite. Lovely food. No real favourite - although we noticed that the cheesepie had sold out - and that is what one of would have chosen, but lots of other good choices.

Hi, the meal was lovely, the drinks a little expensive. I asked for a table in the main dining room by a window but did not get it the small room does get noisy which it did. We were shown to the table very quickly.when we finished our main meal a waiter came in very quickly took the place mats and cleared around us it was like telling us to go,but we wanted a sweet we waited but no one came so my husband went to them. When it came it was lovely but then again they came for glasses so they seem to be hinting again to go so we did.

We've been visiting the Stamford Bridge for many many years and always found the food and general experience very satisfying, however, on our recent visit the food quality had taken a seriously huge retrograde step from its previously high standards achieved in the past. We had, Braised Beef and Ale Pot Pie @ £12.75 and Lamb Hot pot @ £13.75 both meals were found lacking in the principle ingredient of meat, but awash with a rather tasteless, runny gravy and veg mixture and with 15 plus silver skin onions in a Lamb Hot Pot is a new one for me. I'm puzzled to understand why the Stamford Bridge should need to change what had been for decades a winning formula, but oh dear ! a meal which we don't wish to repeat. We left very disappointed about our food experience, also, disappointed for the very hardworking pleasant, courteous, front of house staff who we could not fault.
