We have the Christmas dinner, two course special and it was gorgeous. Always found the management and staff very helpful. Love the old world charm of the place

Just 10 minutes’ drive from Chester Zoo, The Stamford Bridge is a traditional British pub with outdoor dining. Serving a mixture of classic pub favourites and gourmet international dishes, a fine range of cask ales and beers are a popular attraction.

The Stamford Bridge menu offers a range of cuisine. Along with a selection of fresh seafood, there are classic British favourites like slowly roasted shoulder of lamb with mint gravy, and pork with apple and stilton. International options can be found in the chicken tikka, or spiced Cajun chicken breast. Salads, light bites, and vegetarian options are all available.

A fantastic and constantly changing selection of beers and cask ales are served with pride at The Stamford Bridge restaurant. Along with rich desserts, there is also a superb world wine list.

With log fires and a cosy atmosphere, The Stamford Bridge Chester is a perfect example of the fine British pub.

Both of us had very enjoyable meals of Butterfly Chicken followed by the one each of the Dessert Specials.
Will certainly continue our regular visits to Stamford Bridge and the Boathouse at Parkgate.

Food very good. Service was good. Fish pie was the best dish but all four of my friends enjoyed their food. I had looked at the menu on the google web site which is quite different from the actual menu so suggest logging into the Stamford Bridge web site to see the current menu. We had been looking forward to Easton Mess and creme brûlée but not on the menu now. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Very good experience for a "family" lunch with travelers from as far as Grange-over-Sands; Stockport & Quorn/ Leics. Very good menu options as age range was 5 to 78. Service a little slow and ice cream selection limited but this due to the season activities & staff holidays. We will be back in the future

Overall experience very good. Two main meals were not available (chicken and fish) which was slightly disappointing. The older female waitress was rather grumpy but the other staff were very happy and friendly.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Generally superior pub grub though a bit hit and miss. Delicious soups and starters. Tasty vegetable lasagnes. Gammon steak and hamburger dishes edible but bland and unimaginative.

Looks like a change of manager. Slight change to welcome but food just as good as it's always been.
We've been coming to this restaurant for circa 20 years and we've always noticed how friendly the staff are as well as the food being first class (I can jonestly say I've never been disappointed in the food) . However, I did notice that the change in management and the staff service was less welcoming. That's not to say they were frosty but just not quite as warm a welcome. However, the food remains first class.
