Open since May 2005, The Spencer Arms is a collaboration between Jamie Sherriff, co-founder of Notting Hill's renowned restaurant, Zucca, and Adrian Jones, who trained under Gary Rhodes at The Castle in Taunton and brings 20 years of pub and restaurant cooking experience with him. Together, they teamed up to establish a comfortable and relaxed spot in Putney for locals to enjoy the best of British food and a fine wine list. Set on the east side of Putney Common, in a lovely Victorian tavern full of character, The Spencer Arms features a bright dining room and a cosy fireside area, complemented with leather banquettes, book shelves and a games chest. Within such welcoming surroundings, the daily changing lunch and dinner menus attract everyone from local lunch-goers to families with a range of rich and flavourful British dishes created with only the finest ingredients from a variety of suppliers.
