Beautiful steak pie!
13 November 2016
Enclosed by the wild countryside of Northumberland, The Snowy Owl is on the site of an old farm, with pastoral tradition a strong influence. The cuisine is classically British pub fare, and it has a fitting rustic stone appearance. Featuring a pretty beer garden for summer and a warming log-fire for winter, eclectic furnishings diversify the welcoming atmosphere.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Snowy Owl menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Snowy Owl Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
At just 4 minutes’ driving from Cramlington, The Snowy Owl is a peaceful country destination, while being close to a town.

Most of the food was very nice although my husbands fish and chips weren't very hot. The server was lovely although we did have to wait quite a while between getting the bread plates and the main course which wasn't ideal with 2 two year olds. children's menu was varied although there was too much salt on the chips for a child.
Despite this we had an overall nice visit. Although I would have been disappointed if we had been payin full price. The location is good with plenty of parking.
