Very welcoming staff and good service. We had roast dinners which were lovely although Yorkshire pudding a little on the large size. Good atmosphere and excellent location.

With beautiful views of the Lymington River & a beer garden for sun-drenched dining in summer, The Ship Inn – Lymington is a restored pub & restaurant serving uncomplicated modern British cuisine. With marine-inspired interiors, red-brick walls & roaring log fires, the pub is a cosy hideaway in the colder months.

Sourcing ingredients from trusted local suppliers, The Ship Inn menu features wholesome recipes based around the garden, land and sea. Sample hand-pressed burgers, beef & ale pie with cardamom carrots, or sea bass with potato gnocchi, while old-school puddings include warming crumbles, custard-lathered sponges and decadent brownies. Not forgetting younger diners, a kids’ menu includes miniature versions of British classics.

A partnership with the celebrated Rothschild wine merchants means The Ship Inn cellar is stocked full with an eclectic list of world wines, while indulgent wine flights allow guests to sample a variety of bins. Seasonal beers and barrel-kept ales also feature, as well as thirst-quenching cocktails and rich coffees.

The Ship Inn Lymington is a 5-minute walk from Lymington Town Rail Station.

Was disappointed in my fish and chips. The fish was small and greyish with little flesh. My wife also had fish and chips. Her fish was
What I would expect. A good size with nice white flesh. There is a very nice atmosphere and the service is very good albeit a bit slow.
This is probably because it is very busy.
