The building housing The Royal Saracens Head dates back to the 18th century, when it was used as a coaching inn. It is thought that a 12th-century tavern built on the site counted Richard I among its regulars. Today, it is home to a gastro pub and open bar retaining many of its original features and serving a selection of modern British dishes with a Mediterranean flair.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Royal Saracens Head menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar at The Royal Saracens Head pub showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Royal Saracens Head in Beaconsfield is just a 3-minute drive from Beaconsfield station.

Both Set menu and full menu offered good food at sensible prices. Service was good too.

We all thought that the girls who served us were excellent. They were friendly, good humoured, polite and provided first class service. The menu offered a good, wide choice and everyone in the party thought the food they chose was excellent. Once we had peruaded someone to turn off the music which, initially, was too loud and intrusive, the ambience was very pleasant and we all enjoyed the experience.I would add that any pub that serves Timothy Taylor's Landlord will always get a good rating from our group!

Food was excellent but service was very slow - 45 minutes for mains - just a little long as we didn't have starters.

It was my 50th birthday and originally had a table for 4 booked but friends joined us during the day and so we wanted them to come along and asked if we could increase the table number to 8 which wasn't a problem and which started off the evening on a positive note. This theme then ran through the evening with very pleasant and helpful restaurant staff, fabulous food and lovely ambience. All rounded off with a "Happy birthday" Raspberry Creme brûlée. Fab night, thank you and as always will be returning sometime very soon!

We enjoyed a family Sunday lunch at the Royal Saracens Head and once again, it didn't disappoint. They were well-staffed for the day and the service was very good and the food excellent. We all had varied Starters and Main Courses off the A La Carte Menu and each of us were delighted with our choices. The pub has a separate restaurant area but while it keeps its historical status, the decor is contemporary and upmarket. Highly recommended

The staff here are always very pleasant and helpful. The roast dinner was excellent and such good value. Had asked for a quiet table and this was provided for us - perfect.

Lovely, lively, restaurant with a real buzz about it. Staff friendly and left us alone to chat. Bit of an issue with some of the seating - the sofas are too low and I had to be propped up with 3 cushions, never really felt comfortable. Food a bit overpriced for what we had, especially my sword fish, which also had too many flavours with it, the sauce was too sweet. Overall we had a nice evening and I would go back.
