A truly unique dining experience at Alton Towers Resort, The Rollercoaster Restaurant is set underneath a vast rollercoaster track that carries meals to the table via gravity-defying loop-the-loops and spiral drops. Entry to the theme park is not required in the evening to dine in the restaurant.

A great selection of hearty grill recipes and international twists can be found on The Rollercoaster Restaurant menu. To start, there are premium flavours such as lobster tail cocktail, and smoked paprika-dusted calamari, giving way to gourmet burgers served in brioche buns with seasoned fries. There are slow-cooked pork ribs, 10oz ribeye steaks, as well as exotic additions, such as the Bombay butter chicken curry. There are also special kids' menus, offering smaller portions of the adult mains, along with their own dedicated recipes.

For dessert, The Rollercoaster Restaurant Alton Towers Resort offers up sharing options like the indulgent chocolate fondue, or individual treats like potted lemon curd cheesecake.

The Rollercoaster Restaurant is a unique blend of dining and theatrics, with Stoke-on-Trent sitting a 30-minute drive away.

The restaurant was wonderful it would be great if there were more of them especially in London as we have diverse dining, this one would fit right in.

What a truly amazing resteraunt. Kids and adults will love the novelty of ordering and tailoring your own orders and watching it fly from the kitchen hatch along the roller-coaster to your table. If visiting Alton Towers I can't recommend strongly enough to book this unique dinning experience.
Its not the best gourmet fine dinning, it's not 5star linen table cloths and crystal glasses but it is 100% pure fun. If you have an Annual merlin pass you also get discount so it is not overpriced for the dinning experience.
    A must!!!!

Sorry guys but this just didn't work.
We question to get in the doors - despite several staff inside. We were actually 15 mins late for the reservation due to it being so far away from the Echanted Village.
We had our backs to an automatic door which continuely opened and closed letting in freezing cold air.
Our table, my hair, and t shirt got sauce spilled on it from a food delivery above us. We were asked to sign a form so that there was no come backs from the restaurant. No offer of any reimbursement. Except when I went to pay our bill, I overheard the gentleman who sat next to us say that he'd been offered a discount due to getting sauce spilled on him.
The food was very expensive and poor. Bland, not fresh, simply heated up for speediness.
Overall a really poor experience and we will not be back.

Extremely disappointing, the waiting staff were absolutely useless, we had to keep asking for forks, knives etc. I ordered a bottle of expensive wine as a treat and it did not arrive ... so mid way through our meal I enquired where it was, they brought it to the table, warm and again I had to ask for a wine cooler !!! The food was not good, and it was not cheap,my husband ordered a lamb shank, it was truly awful, it was instant mash, and I think they'd forgotten to put the lamb on the shank as it was TINY!!! .it arrived in one small cereal type pot, this was meant to be a main course, my sons child's meal was bigger! .I had a steak that was tough and unpalatable, but what I was truly unhappy with was the staff and service, it was not busy at all, I am a manager myself and could see customers needing attention. They needed a rocket up their ***!!!! One Chinese guy came out of the kitchen to see us after we had 5 puddings sent to us that we're all wrong!!! He put this correct and was a good help, with a great manner, but I felt that he should be concentrating on the food and the waiting staff should of handled it. I did complain when I paid and spoke to a very helpful girl called Gracie, the only member of staff with an bit of sense and could actually communicate with people. If they were my staff I would of sacked the lot and started again, as the restaurant is a great idea, but I would never return we al left feeling what a waste of time and we were hungry!!!!

    Absolutly dreadfull,
The earliest booking avaiable 7days in advance was 9.30pm, i got a phone all at 8.20pm to say if myself and my two kids couldnt bet there in 10/15 mins they would have to cancel our booking as they were experiencing internet problems and the only way to order was via tablets?!?!
The food ( burger & chips @ £15 ) arrived via "rollercoaster" as advertised but in saucepans which made everything soggy!!
Theres plates that you have to put your food on yourself, the first 2 i picked up had remnantes of food on them despite the manager saying they where all hand polished before leaving kitchen when i complained!!
The total was £73 and i have to say the kfc we had in a moterway service station the night before on the way to alton towers was much nicer!!

I came to the restaurant with my husband and two children. I did not like the self service with the ordering system and though the food was very poor. McDonald's is nicer and cheaper! Would never return.

Food was ok - standard type of fare for a restaurant of this type - but - it's the delivery system that makes it fun particularly if you've got kids.
