A truly unique dining experience at Alton Towers Resort, The Rollercoaster Restaurant is set underneath a vast rollercoaster track that carries meals to the table via gravity-defying loop-the-loops and spiral drops. Entry to the theme park is not required in the evening to dine in the restaurant.

A great selection of hearty grill recipes and international twists can be found on The Rollercoaster Restaurant menu. To start, there are premium flavours such as lobster tail cocktail, and smoked paprika-dusted calamari, giving way to gourmet burgers served in brioche buns with seasoned fries. There are slow-cooked pork ribs, 10oz ribeye steaks, as well as exotic additions, such as the Bombay butter chicken curry. There are also special kids' menus, offering smaller portions of the adult mains, along with their own dedicated recipes.

For dessert, The Rollercoaster Restaurant Alton Towers Resort offers up sharing options like the indulgent chocolate fondue, or individual treats like potted lemon curd cheesecake.

The Rollercoaster Restaurant is a unique blend of dining and theatrics, with Stoke-on-Trent sitting a 30-minute drive away.

Fab experiance staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Went for daughters birthday and staff were great with her. Only complaint was that one or two meals would arrive then it would take easily 15 minutes or more for the other three to arrive meaning the first two ended up with cold meals by the time everyone was served. Kids enjoyed though. Good price delicious if cold food

Pretty good, novelty was very interesting and fun, food was ok dining was more for the experience than the food, having done it once i don't think i'd return as its quite expensive

Quirky place and we were a family of four so the kids quite enjoyed it. The place lacked any atmosphere it was a bit sterile, no music apart from the videos promoting Alton towers??? We are already here!

Beer was cold, food prompt and hot, everything we ordered came at the same time, all in all ok.

The only issue I had was with the service. No introduction by the staff, shown to table with. Brief intro on how to order via your own iPad left on the table and that was it. We didn't see another member of staff (apart from a waitress who brought a coffee) for the duration. I mentioned this as I paid.........12.5% service charge for being shown to a table by a man with no name?? Any jobs going?

It was a novelty, kids enjoyed it, food was ok. Could be so much better. With two massive screens they should be showing the worlds biggest, best scariest roller coasters.

    Food-absolutely awful.
The novelty of food arriving on a roller coaster soon wears off, once it arrives after doing 3 loop the loops in a tin bowl.
    Chaotic.

This is a gimmick restaurant, so although the experience was unique, the atmosphere lacked and the food definitely wasn't something to bring in the crowds. Glad we went but would not return
