Named one London's top 5 hotel bars, the dramatic Art Deco style of The Rivoli Bar at The Ritz harks back to the roaring 1920s, the interiors re-created in 2001 by renowned designer Tessa Kennedy. Evoking the class of a bygone age, tinkling piano strains add to the sense of refinement, with Rivoli's exquisitely prepared cocktails including the Vanity Fair endorsed Ritz 100.

Indulgent lobster, crab and smoked salmon club sandwiches join omelette Arnold Bennett and Oxford and Guinness cottage pie on the Rivoli menu. For dessert, there’s Eton mess and refreshing lemon posset.

In true Ritz style, there is caviar from Spain, France and Belgium. The finest champagne, a huge list of world wines and more than 80 luxurious cocktails can be found alongside high-quality coffees and delicate tea infusions.

This is The Ritz, so please be aware of the dress code – smart casual is the request for the bar. Rivoli Bar at The Ritz Restaurant in London is in the heart of the city on Piccadilly, a 1-minute walk from Green Park Tube Station.

Dined at 8pm, dressed very smart, jacket and tie required, waiters explained everything about menu and drinks. Bar meal very special, silver platter and all! We had a great dining experience never to be forgotten.

I organised a late lunch at 16.30 using the London Restaurant Festival - Bento Box [$] I was extremely disappointed in the result. The food was excellent and it took all of FIFTEEN minutes to eat it. It was not worth what was charged.I stayed in The Ritz for 3 nights in August this year on a Dinner, Bed Breakfast package and was delighted on that occasion. This October visit was not what I expected. It was sparse!

Almost feels as if everyone who dines here is putting on a show. Waiters seemed a little pretentious but I suppose it's part of the ambience. Food was actually good. Smaller portions that was fine for me but may be poor value for money for guys! Overall, the experience did not impress me enough to recommend it to my friends.

It was disgusting. The waiter ignored us, did not inform us of the menu. They gave my boyfriend fish, which he is deadly allergic to, they only told us it was fish because I asked the waiter what it was. They didn't give us as spoon to eat our dessert with, they didn't bring the drinks we had ordered till after we had finished eating. I would never again eat at the ritz.

We went for the London Restaurant festival and there was very little food however enough(very French small portions) 2 of them had lots of flavour and were delicious 2 were blend(neutral). We were placed at the restaurants worst positioned table and had new waiters that were under training so not a lovely experience. I would not recommend this however the restaurant looked really good. So we experienced the Rivoli Bar - nothing to write home about...

Went for diner. Restaurant was a bit quiet. Setting seems more appropriate for drinks and canapes rather than diner. Great service. Good cocktail and wine list but expensive.

An early supper at the Rivoli Bar has become a traditional part of my friends' annual trip to London. The service is excellent and we are always made to feel welcome and special. There is a great variety of drinks to choose from including delicious cocktails. The bar menu is simple but expertly prepared and presented in great style. As one of our party is vegetarian the staff were happy to modify the menu to produce a delicious smoked-salmon sandwich with fries. We were not rushed and could savour the quite luxury of our surroundings. A memorable evening.

The reserved table was perfectly positioned; the magnum of champagne was ready on ice. The canapes came after an appropriate time. The service was simply superb and the experience as fantastic as last year and the year before. Keep the Rivoli Bar as a rare treat. We meet annually before Xmas with friends for pre dinner champagne and canapes and then off for fine dining. Everything was exactly as pre booked - a fantastic venue!!
