Easter lunch at the carvery was excellent, lots of choices on the side dishes. The complimentary Easter chocolate eggs a very welcome gesture, the view of the Harbourside excellent

Boasting stunning Harbourside views, The River Grille is known for its ever-changing seasonal menus, packed full of local ingredients and exciting flavours.

The River Grille menu is packed with local ingredients like lamb and pork belly from Nailsea, sustainably sourced fish from Brixham, and the West Country’s Cornish Blue, Yarg and Westcomb Cheddar that pack a serious punch on the cheese platter. Seasonal dishes see warming root vegetables sit alongside the likes of cod, butterbean and chorizo stews and hazelnut soufflé for dessert.

The light and airy dining area has striking light features and mahogany furniture, with large windows that allow diners to look out over the water. The River Grille Bar is complete with a glossy finish and quirky white grand piano.

At the Centre of the city, the River Grille Restaurant is a 10 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station and right on the Narrow Quay Harbourside.

We arrived earlier than expected but welcomed, seated and served drinks promptly and pleasantly. The dining room is large and airy and great for watching the world go by along the quay. The menu was suitably broad and we ordered quickly and easily. All three courses were very good. Quality and quantity more than adequate. Stand out elements were the crackling with my pork belly and my partners hazelnut soufflé which was divine! We were in Bristol for a show at Colston Hall and found this place ideally situated. We'll visit again next time we book a show...

Fantastic service, very pleased with the added extras provided due to the booking being for a birthday.

Meals were excellent. Over all the pork was considered the best. Maybe steak could have been a little bigger. When the waiter came with a steak knife he could not work who had the steak at first as it was behind the small source pot. However, saying that the guest thought the bit he had was tender and tasted good.

Drinks extremely expensive.. almost the cost of one main meal

I thought the service was amazing and I loved the place, however I was highly disappointed with my main course. I had the chicken breast which was completely covered in a jus, which just tasted burnt and as it was all over my meal it made everything taste horrible. My desert (hazelnut soufflé) was incredible! Probably one of my favourite deserts ever!

We visited for an early Dinner on Mother's Day. The food was divine. The starters were superbly presented and tasted as good as they looked, good enough for a Michelin Star! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the desserts were scrumptious. The added little extra of Mother's Day free platter was a thoughtful gesture and devoured. The handmade truffles to go with the coffee was very moreish. Service at the start was a bit slow but the customer service after that was top notch. Very friendly serving staff, crisp white tablecloths and a view over the harbour. As the food was some of the best food we've had in a long while, we will be back very soon. A wonderful venue for delightful ambience and food.
