Delicious and delightful! Such beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and sublime food. Worth it tot a special treat, they even bought out a divine little cake complete with candle as it was our daughters 21st birthday.

We had a lovely evening dining at the Ritz for my husbands birthday. The food and service whithin the restaurant was amazing!! The only downside was that there was no dress code attached to the booking. Men have to wear jacket and tie to dine... my husband had the jacket but not the tie. We were informed that we could obtain a tie from the cloakroom to borrow which was fine. The member of staff in the cloakroom was very unfriendly and made us feel awful that we should need to borrow a tie!!! This is not the service you expect to receive from such a famous and established hotel. It did start our experience on the wrong foot but from then on it was amazing... until we returned the tie with the same frosty woman!!

Wonderful experience. The dining room at the Ritz is so special. The food was good but not as flavoursome as I might have expected for a Michelin star restaurant. Not quite up to Michelin Star standard in my view but we dined on a special offer and it was well below Michelin star prices at £59 for 3 courses plus a glass of champagne on arrival so in this context it was good value. The service was discreet and impeccable as one might expect. Truly outstanding. We had a most enjoyable evening.

We had the set menu which was £59 for 3 courses plus a glass of champagne. Very good value however the champagne was not as good as the previous one they used to serve. Perhaps they are cutting down on costs.
I ordered :
- scallops for starter which was a very small portion!!
- lamb for mail / there were barely any vegetables and again a small portion. The quality of the lamb was good but I object to not being served a reasonable portion of vegetables.
- desert was wonderful!
I go to the Ritz for birthday celebrations and last year I could not fault the food / service / champagne. In fact last year I mentioned my surprise that they had not been awarded a coveted Michelin star. Now I see they are a 1 star Michelin restaurant.
However my experience last year was much more special.
I object to paying good money and then leaving the restaurant hungry.
Come on guys at The Ritz - please serve a decent portion of vegetables with the dinner !
