I had gluten free afternoon tea and it was one of the best I've had.

Excellent visit for afternoon tea for my daughters birthday. Service was friendly and attentive. Had to ask for spoons for the jam and mousse. Disappointed that there were more fruit teas than proper leaf teas to choose from. Good value, surprisingly quiet, as another venue I tried just outside Guildford was fully booked.

We were greeted well when we arrived at the hotel, and ushered to the restaurant, which is very well laid out , with extremely pleasant staff. we had 2 courses with a glass of Prosecco . Food was very good, very well served , again with very good staff. Good experience and we will go there again.

I first tried Afternoon Tea last year at the Mandolay and thought we would try it again. We were not disappointed, excellent food and service.

We visited the Mandolay for afternoon tea with friends as a joint birthday treat.
Sandwiches and cakes were brought out together which as a bit overwhelming, Wow, they looked fantastic.

Had a good selection of finger sandwiches which were replenished when asked. The cakes were absolutely delicious and included plain and fruit scones with cream and jam, extremely tasty eclairs, muffins and small lemon meringues and chocolate tarts.

Boxes were on hand for those we couldn't eat (and I'm not sure anyone could eat them all) to take home.

The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful and understanding as we were held up in traffic so a little late but was not a problem. The only negative point was they could have been more attentive and on hand to replenish the tea but we're happy to do so when asked.

Would definitely recommend and at £17.00 per head was extremely good value and the cakes were as good if not better than those I've had at other afternoon teas. Certainly would come back again.

It was an ok experience, not great, not awful, just average. Cakes and sandwiches were nice enough. The macarons though were awful, just dry and crunchy!
