Knowledgeable and Lovely staff, food was absolutely delicious as well as the cocktails.... portions bigger than expected for a restaurant of this Calibre.

Booked a table for 8 for a catch up with friends. It didn't disappoint. Couple of my girls were running late, but the rest staff were very accommodating and allowed us to hand around at the bar, which was fun rather than rushing us to the table. We opted to sit outside as it was lovely and cosy with all the heating and blankets around us. They do seem to switch off the heaters post 10.30pm,upon which we moved it. Food was great. Infact the deal was such good value with the cocktail thrown in. I would definitely recommend it. The waiting staff was ever so courteous and the setting was fantastic! All boxes ticked! Would certainly go again!

We selected the three course set meal, which included a cocktail. The food was delicious & well presented. We ordered extra side dishes of greens & sweet potato fries, as the main course only included a mushroom & half a tomato. The service was very professional, the staff were delightful & we felt well looked after. Only negative comments are, we booked the table for midday, & the table was not available until 12,30pm, because " Sunday breakfast isn't finished until 11.30am". Had we been told this in advance, we would have just booked at 12.30pm. Earlier in the morning we had been sent a reminder about the booking, telling us if we were 15 mins late the table would not be kept for us! The othe note was the bill was presented including a service charge (15%) but then there was a space for a "gratuity" as well. In my mind they are the same thing.

Very noisy but reception staff were able to give us a quieter area to eat. to get to the restaurant we had to push ourselves through a very noisy champaign bar. The restaurant area was impersonal, dark and very minimalist. However the staff were very pleasant and attentive and the food very good, generally larger portions than the usual 3 course book a table deal. Th signature cocktail was not particularly enjoyable, tasted more of melon and lemon than anything else, pretty on presentation.

Wonderful restaurant! Attentative staff, food was very tasty. Didn't stick with the set menu as planned, but order al la carte as the choice was a bit limited. Nevertheless the meal & cocktails were yummy! Beetroot starter lacked taste & should of really been organic, but the rest was delicious. Can't wait to go back for what appeared to be a very popular 'High Tea' choice & also looked delightful! Gorgeous place all round!

I ate with a friend on a Saturday lunchtime and although annoyingly all the tables outside were reserved for afternoon tea, the tables inside are ok. We had the 3 course set menu for £28 which was very tasty, the service was great and we had drinks at the long bar after. I'm a regular at the Sanderson and the service is always top notch!

Phenomenal experience. Cocktails in the Long Bar first, then shown to lovely table. Very friendly service. Food quality very high, ordered truffle soup, poured over a small brioche and a heap of smoked salmon, two steaks, with extra fries, two chocolate parfait. The desserts were really impressive. Music wasn't too loud, perfect temperate and lighting. Highly recommend!

VIP table with total lack of service!
Service: We were greeted by a receptionist with a big smile who surprised us with the announcement of our VIP table. All good so far!
It turned almost nasty! nobody spat at us, but actually it felt like there was nobody around! It was extremely frustrating and upsetting!
It was hard to believe it was a VIP table because:
    One water glass was missing
Our water glasses were never refilled during meal
The butter dishes were redundant as there was no bread and we had to put them aside to have them removed!
Total lack of customer awareness, only the kitchen porter offered an acceptable service... nobody was around to take the order, to check if we had finished, etc...
Food: betts saflad was very basic. The risotto was okay and the pudding had nothing special!
A huge disappointment... we even requested to remove the service charge!
A VIP table with a lace curtain and no service is not even a table! Dreadful!!!!
