I took my aunt and her friend from Germany. They absolutely loved it!!! First class food (we had afternoon tea) and impeccable service. I would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful setting and a very British experience.

I booked afternoon tea as a treat for my friend for her birthday and we had a pleasant afternoon. The restaurant is a pretty conservatory that is nicely decorated and the staff are very attentive and warm. The cakes and scones were very nice indeed. The only thing I felt that needed improving were the sandwiches. I am used to lots of filling and a small amount of bread, these sandwiches were rather wanting.
The selection of drinks were lovely and also the choices we could make from the menu.

, The Peacock Conservatory was a very pleasant setting for Afternoon Tea , however that's where it stopped, Coffee served luke warm, sandwiches very little filling and in sufficient for 7 people. At £20.00 per head would have expected more savoury and variety of food . This was for a special birthday and we were overall disappointed

I booked online and made a note explaining I was booking for two coeliacs who could not eat, wheat, barley or rye. I have had lovely gluten free teas here in the past. Yesterday we were offered 2 scones each and two small chocolate brownie squares each. From the menu it showed non coeliacs were offered 4 different cakes. I explained politely to the staff this was not acceptable and we should not pay full price for this. They then produced 2 pieces of quickly made flapjack, delicious but totally crumbly. I was then charged full price. The damage was done. I had brought a friend who had never been before, and will take her somewhere else next time. Very disappointed as you have a lovely location, have served good gluten free teas in the past. One in 100 people is coeliac, and quite a few more eat a gluten free diet for their own reasons.

Went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat, the food was lovely, the staff were happy to tweak the sandwiches to individual taste, and I saw my first white peacock!
