Housed in a building reputed to have been an inn for over 400 years, The Red Lion - Stoke Green is a pleasant mix of country style and contemporary flair. With wooden beams on the ceiling, rustic furniture, and an open fireplace, this gastro pub serves British dishes with a Mediterranean twist.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Red Lion menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar at The Red Lion pub showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Red Lion – Stoke Green in Buckinghamshire is just an 8-minute drive from Slough Railway Station.

Has dinner here last night and loved it, beautiful festive atmosphere, cosy Xmas decore, and a lovely festive menu. They Were unable to make some of the festive drinks and they didn't have the ingredients but apart from that the food was lovely, full of flavour and would definitely dine here again.

Staff were great and service prompt but the food was a big let down found the portabella mushroom starter very oily wich left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and the belly pork was tough and the mash potato was light brown in colour and not very pleasant to eat,on the good side the slice of crackling and the beans were good. Found the Doombar beer was great so another plus there. Would have second thoughts about going to the Red Lion to eat.

Welcoming staff, prompt service and varied menu. The food was good and there was plenty of it.

Drink was wrong to start with, my Mothers dinner came with mash but she'd ordered chips, bill was wrong, I was charged for 3 drinks, I had 1, plus charged for a pudding and coffee, where as I had the mini pudding and coffee option, hence again charged wrong, however I was given an apology not that I'd complained. The manager came over to apologise for the few errors, our waitress was new. Food was excellent.

We sat outside. A pleasant pub but the surprisingly busy road is a bit near. Nice building and friendly people. They immediately asked if our dog would like a bowl of water - always a win.
The food was good - well-presented if slightly slow to come, but we weren't in a rush. Rather London prices, but that's to be expected in the area. The restaurant inside is large and presumably popular in the evening.
