The Red Lion Adderbury is an ideal Oxfordshire retreat for those on the lookout for traditional British cuisine. The interior's striking rustic features include oak beams, a fireplace and a wall done up with pieces from the stone chimney.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Red Lion menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at Red Lion pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

Red Lion Banbury is a much loved country pub overlooking the village green. The M40 Motorway is a 4-minute drive away.

This was my first visit to The Red Lion. I took my niece and sister for a birthday meal. We were not disappointed! The meal was brilliant - well presented, lovely fresh fish, very large portions and excellent service from friendly and efficient waitresses. The whole experience was delightful and fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again. Thank you.

Food was fantastic, plenty of options and lovely staff. Unfortunately the booking through this site hadn't been recorded so I would advise to call as they are extremely busy

Went here for an early Morhers day lunch. Restaurant was very accommodating when the number in our party changed. Service was a bit slow in acknowledging us when at the table. My husband had to go ask if we could see the menu and order drinks! Maybe more waiting staff would help? Once ordered, the food arrived quickly we all had Roasts, and was lovely. The desert selection was good and the children enjoyed their Chocolate pop sundaes.
