Tastefully constructed in the classic style of an old country pub, The Red Deer near Glasgow has beautiful gardens with seating for dining on the traditional British pub cuisine offered. Within the outer white and brick walls, the interior is decorated with a stone hearth, old-fashioned log-piles and some more modern ornaments, diversifying the vintage atmosphere.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Red Deer menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Red Deer ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Red Deer is just 4 minutes’ drive from Croy Train Station, and 12 minutes from Glasgow.

Very slow service - in for 1 hour 15 mins and only had starter and had to chase main course - no apology only excuse about lack of staff. Forgot the potatoes and veg with roast for 2 people.

Told by waitress that she would take money off bill, but none taken off. Paid full bill and won't be back. Weren't looking for money off (only faster service as gong to cinema) but to offer and not deliver is more annoying than doing nothing in first place.

Irony was that we were first people in restaurant!
