Great food, lots of choice and very attentive service. All in a picturesque setting. A bit difficult to get to, but very much worth the journey. We had a fantastic lunch, the guinea fowl was especially memorable. Thanks!

A firm favourite when lunching with friends. Food and service always excellent

Chickpea and beetroot burger and sweet potato fries were extremely good. My fellow diners had the fish pie with cheesy topping and thought it was very good indeed.

Excellent food and service as always. The young waitress was bubbly and very pleasant and good at her job.

Arrived early and were seated immediately by very attentive staff. Drinks order taken and menus provided quickly followed by good service despite being very busy. Food was great, a little pricey at £90 for lunch for three, but not something to do too regularly.

Good food, good service and a pleasant room to eat in. Also good company so what more could one wish for when entertaining friends to dinner.

The food arrived scarily quickly which made me pre judge the quality. Saying that, it tasted nice enough. This is my second visit and both times, I leave feeling slightly cheated out of a truly enjoyable experience. Perhaps the fact it was Sunday evening and I had booked a table at 7pm without knowing that the kitchen was due to close at 7.30 until we arrived , but I felt that if we ordered starters the chef might leave before our mains were ready! Seeing a few people turned away when the restaurant was so empty and lacking in any atmosphere, made us feel like late guests at a B&B!
