Very nice country old fashioned pub with comfy settees and chairs. Restaurant was packed.
We arrived early had a drink at the bar, then went in on time at 20:00 hrs
Ordered a bottle of wine and it arrived within 5 mins, ordered starter and main.
Starter arrived within 20 mins, main arrived within 1 hour.
All food rather expensive, the soup stater was £5.50, the steak was £15.50 , and the bottle of Savignon Blanc was
overpriced at £26.50, You can get this in a supermarket for a fiver.......
The bill came to £101 for 2 people, no deserts.....good job I suppose but we were full so couldn't wedge any puddings in.
There was a 10% service charge. so don't tip the waiters
Overall.......the food was nice and well presented, the staff were nice, the food and drink overpriced

I suggest you buy some wine in an off licence smuggle it in your bag and drink it.....save you £20

I don't believe in service charges. in case you don't agree that service was adequate.

So Red Barn. reduce your prices especially the wine....take off service charge and let us tip

I dined with my my partner and my 88 year old mother yesterday. The Barn is the most beautiful building I can remember and is full of character. The staff were very attentive and the food was exactly as expected and very well presented. I am having my Christmas Day lunch here and I am counting down the days.

Stunning barn dining area, high quality service and high quality food - we will dine there again, however next time we will take a taxi so we can enjoy the wine list and enjoy a relaxed Sunday lunch in relaxing surroundings.

Over an hour to get the starters. Very mean with the scallops but the food good.

We dined at 6pm on a Saturday night and we booked online. I really like the ambience and character of the restuarant. The food was 'okay' and very overpriced. The house wine was terrible! Service was not bad but we did have to keep asking for things and one of our waiters was 'huffing and puffing' a bit (we had three waiters during the meal?!). I would not rush to return for an evening meal, however I have been for lunch and have had a much nicer experience overall.

We eat out at least once a week and have used this restaurant on previous ocassions. We were there last Saturday, three of the four of us had Scallops with Black Pudding for a starter for [$] each. All we got was 3 small slices of Scallop about 2 millimetres thick and 3 over fried sliced black pudding in breadcrumbs. After complaining 3 times to the waiter as nothing was being done about it other than listening, the manager arrived and asked us 'what would you, like us to do about it?' (this is long after the plates have gone back to the kitchen) After telling him 3 or 4 times we should not be charged for those individual plates as were not prepared to pay for them, he finally agreed. Big deal, we didn't get charged for rubbish that we didn't eat!!!

dined on a quiet sunday afternoon.after being seen to a table i waited 5 mins to take a drink order and another 15 to get a drink baring in mind it wasnt that busy and i asked twice!,.upon waiting another 20 mins to order our food, we then had a substantial wait for it, i ordered soup and wasnt issued any cutlery and had to find it myself. my main was served cold and when it came back clearly was a quick flash and put under a heating lamp. (dry)i must inform that when complaining each time was a quick apology and then they disapered before doing anything about it,.when i reluctantly came to pay the [$] bill i gave them £100 cash with the idea of leaving the [$] plus an additional [$] (10%) once i recieved the change. when he took the money he issued a grunt along with the line "that'll do". NOT IMPRESSED!!!
