It was all lovely. We had a selection of dishes and the favourites were salt cod, koftas and haloumi skewers

Crafting nutritious Grecian cuisine, The Real Greek Bankside blends an authentic taste of the Mediterranean with edgy interior design. A sweeping bar and high tables indoors offset the tranquil al fresco area.

Showcasing robust flavours, The Real Greek menu presents an array of wholesome specialities. Ideal for sharing, tasty hot and cold mezes sit alongside souvlaki served straight from the grill. Favourites from the wide selection include juicy tiger prawns with chilli and garlic butter, or handmade British lamb patties with tahini sauce.

Extending tradition through to the dessert menu, The Real Greek restaurant offers a tantalisingly sweet selection, from Greek lemon cake drizzled with honey-infused syrup, to luxurious homemade baklava. Family-friendly The Real Greek London offers a fun meze and skewer selection, just for kids.

In the cultured South Bank area, The Real Greek Bankside offers a fashionable haunt. The iconic Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre sits 4 minutes’ walk away.

I was there with a friend, the atmosphere was great. Lovely weather, we had a table outside with a great view.
The service was really fine, everybody polite with a Mediterranean touch.

We booked this restaurant for my husbands birthday. Booking was simply using their website and I left a comment to say it was a birthday celebration. We arrived and were seated with a welcome smile. The staff were attentive and we had our orders taken very quickly. We had 2 children and they were entertained with thrbkids menu that had some games on the back. I always rate a restaurant if they can manage to cater for kids too. The food was amazing. We ordered 3 items from the meze each (7 of us in total) the kids has chicken style kebabs with chips and they really enjoyed it. Our meze was cooked beautifully. Our experience was great. When we ordered our coffee and dessert, a cake came out with a sparkler candle and the staff sang happy birthday to my husband. Brilliant touch.

The service, food and ambience were all excellent! I loved the taramosalata and the lamb meatballs the best I think, although the aubergine dip was a close second ??

Perfect place for a romantic night out. It overlooks the Thames and Southwark bridge. Seated immediately ordered within 15 minutes, received the food shortly after, I didn't expect much of this place but it made me so happy I had to leave a review. We chose to sit near the band so for me it was too loud but that's my personal preference.x

I was lucky enough to get a table outside. The staff were absolutely outstanding. A special mention for the Greek waitress (let's call her A.) who thought I was actually Greek after I used two of my ten words of the language on her (eukharisto poli). The food was disappointing, taramasalata ok, pita good, £3 for tasteless dukkah, very bland lentil and beetroot salad and baked aubergine. Ouzo shouldn't have to be served in these mini-bar bottles but it was good, though they should automatically bring water with it.
