Sleek and contemporary, The Quicken Tree at Heart of England Conference Centre offers hearty British cuisine. With light lunches, indulgent Sunday dinners and an impressive choice for children, The Quicken Tree menu changes with the seasons using fresh, local produce.

Leading the delicious menu is a game and pale ale pie with rich gravy & mash, and other highlights include slow-braised blade of beef with parsnip & vanilla purée, creamy cabbage & bacon served with Dauphinoise potato, and oven-roasted seabass with bok choi, shiitake mushrooms & hoi sin noodles. Indulge in a decadent treat off the dessert menu, such as the tempting Bailey’s cheesecake with an Oreo biscuit base & roasted almond peaches.

Situated on a private estate, The Quicken Tree Fillongley enjoys a good reputation as a relaxed, family-friendly restaurant with stunning views of sprawling Warwickshire countryside. In summer, the spacious outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy an al fresco meal.

The positives were that the waitresses and the maitre d were all most helpful. The restaurant itself is always nicely presented, and as we have used this on several occasions then it was of the usual standard. What wasn't of the usual standard was the food. Starters were good, but the main course I had was below standard by along way. The beef was dry and tough, the mashed potatoes grainy and tasteless. The roasted vegetables were hard and tasteless. I sent mine back and reordered a steak which was really good but I had to eat on my own as the others had already eaten. It was my 60th birthday so I was really disappointed and it did ruin what should have been a happy occasion. There was no compensation for this. As it stands I shall think twice before coming to the quicken tree again unless there is a change in the cooking.

We were placed together as a party(18 of us) in the conservatory. This was brilliant. The service was good and the food excellant. The starters were really tasty and well presented. The main courses were all very good, portion size was good and there was extra vegetables. The sweets were also good. Children's Meals were also good and well presented. Staff came in at regular intervals to clear and to take orders for drinks. They provided extras that we asked for and were quick to help. There was some good activities for the children too, so a good time was had by all. Thank you.

    Really nice setting

It was Easter Sunday, so as you'd expect it was very busy, we were shown to our table, which was set and ready and in a nice position, but left about 20 minutes with no one to take a drinks order, eventually one of our party went up to the bar and was then told someone would come soon, as they were very busy. We did then get our drinks about 10 mins later, The waitress came round with a basket of lovely fresh bread rolls, but we had no butter and the waitress had gone, no one else was around to ask, so I had to take butter from another table. We all had the same starter, which was mushrooms with a cheesey topping, that was delicious. The main courses varied in quality, my roast beef was lovely, my sons ordered steaks to be cooked rare, but they came medium, but otherwise their meals were good. My daughter ordered lamb but had to send it back as it was far too fatty. They did change the meal no problem and the second one was good but we had nearly all finished eating by then. The vegetarian roast was also very good. Meals were well presented. There was a long gap before desserts were served, which we didn't mind as we were quite full. Three of us had the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake, which was delicious, two had the rhubarb crumble which was also excellent but the Chocolate brownie that my son had was rock hard and he was unable to cut it, he returned it and they brought another one out but it was the same, so he didn't eat it. There was a live singer, performing in the bar area, she had a lovely voice, but it was rather loud and we were unable to hear each other at the table.

Have eaten here quite a few times yesterday my meal was not the best but partners was good. This is the only time I was not totally happy. Service is great nice smiley faces all round. Just small criticism about my very hard pie.
    We will return ??

Good food, mediocre service. Asked for table of 4 set for two as my guest is blind. No table set up. Offered menu to my guest who was clearly blind. I asked for my guests meal first so I could cut up meat, this was done but then had to wait for second meal so that my guest had almost finished his before mine arrived. Two girls more interested in talking than keeping an eye on customers.
