A historic pub dating back to 1685, The Queen's Head Burley showcases traditional British food and drink. The pub's enduring appeal lies in its historic connection as a former blacksmiths with much of its original features intact.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Queen's Head menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at Queen's Head pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

The Queen's Head Ringwood is a 7-minute walk from Burley Golf Club.

We were a family party of six on Sunday 5th. June, at lunch time. Drinks were ordered, promptly served, food order taken promptly, by very pleasant staff. Three roast dinners were ordered. One rib was ordered. We were then told that pork was not available. The roast chicken was totally unappetising both in appearance and enjoyment of flavour and texture, also no Yorkshire pudding came, vegetables were as if cooked on Saturday. Beef was overcooked, dry and not tender. Children's food arrived some time after. The burger with bacon with cheese topping and chips arrived but - No cheese and no chips! We asked the waiter for them to complete the meal. Meantime there was a very unhappy child who had been looking forward to his meal. Later the missing food was brought. We had requested English mustard and horseradish, but mint sauce arrived. After two reminders the mustard arrived. By this time the experience of eating together was ruined to a point of farce. However, the staff were still very pleasant. The restaurant was not unduly busy. We could find no reason why the quality of food was so unsatisfactory and the orders for standard menu items failed to be served properly and completely without recourse to prompting, meaning that there was delay in being able to eat together.
In all, the standard of food, quality and presentation fell far below what we had expected and want when eating out. The surroundings were pleasant enough, reserved table pre-booked was fine, but there is nothing about the experience to encourage any of us to re-visit and moreover we certainly would not recommend any one to try to risk eating in the restaurant.
No doubt just as a pub to enjoy a drink in it may be fine.

Live locally and so have visited many times though not for a while. The food and service was not as good as in the past. The food was not very hot and chips had been forgotten to be provided with the steak order. We did not receive a check back from the waitress to ensure that we were happy with our order which is usually standard procedure in most restaurants. The puddings, though presented well, were all very bland.Such a shame as the pub is in a nice location and has a nice atmosphere.
