Pleasant surroundings with a nice view. Sandwiches a bit dry around the edges and only three choices where we are used to four. Dissapointed that the cream was NOT traditional clotted cream. 1 pot of tea between four of us with no pot of hot water which we had to ask for, a second pot was brought but that was our lot. The cakes, scones and sweet treats were lovely

We arrived at the restaurant to be told that the booking had not been made even though I showed them my booking confirmation. After they had set a table for us the staff couldn't do enough for us bringing afternoon tea with more than enough food for us all. The staff explained that for some reason internet bookings were not getting through to the restaurant and in fact not been taking bookings for over a week.

    Very helpful and attentive staff
    Afternoon tea lacked finesse
Large cakes rather than small fancies

Staff were amazing so kind in the bar although staff who were on the phone when I rang were not so polite. Food was fantastic just wish there was option with more savoury rather than all the sweet things.

The tea was a Mother's Day present fro my daughter and we both enjoyed it very much, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant itself was very well maintained with lovely seafront views and the internal hotel facilities (toilets etc )were extremely well kept.
The afternoon tea experience; although very nice in taste was not very substantial ( particularly the sandwich selection) when compared to other venues I have attended. Also, although only a minor detail; the cream provided for the fruit scones was squirty cream rather than whipped/ clotted.
