Afternoon tea in 'The Promenade' was superb. The booking was easy and reliable and all the staff were courteous and helpful. The food offered was delectable. We were seated right next to the piano, which I shall avoid next time. I hope to repeat the experience. Thank you very much

The food was ok but perhaps not worth the money. The piano was far too loud for comfortable conversation and the carpet was grubby. However the experience was good and the staff excellent. However the doorman was chatting so we had to call our own taxi. He did though open the door.

My friend and I were celebrating our belated birthday get together and we were suitably pleased with our choice of venue to meet. The service was excelled and the dishes lovely. We were pleasantly surprised with the host who brought us a birthday cake complete with 2 candles to the melody of happy birthday when we explained why we were there.
The scones were lovely as were the strawberry tart, and ice cream. The birthday cake was also divine!

Very friendly and respectful staff, a nice selection of savoury sandwiches and also sweets. The scones were not as impressive, but I don't remember this about them the last time I had afternoon tea, about five years ago, so perhaps it was a one-off. And I appreciated that they provided my mother with a fruit dish vs the desserts, and did not charge extra.

Great service and food. Shall be back and shall recommend. Price is high for tea and should therefore include service.
    Regards

The attention to detail was first class along with the service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I've been to other, more well known places for afternoon tea, but I'd highly recommend the Dorchester.
