Dating back to 1705, The Prince’s Head in Richmond serves locally sourced British food and a wide range of real ales. As well as a rustic wooden interior, the outdoor seating overlooks the green, and is the perfect spot for watching cricket in the summer months.

The Prince’s Head menu adds Mediterranean touches to British pub classics. Changing with the seasons, hearty favourites include pot roast hake with white beans and chorizo, a succulent 10oz steak with peppercorn sauce, and pheasant 2 ways, which sees pan-fried breast and confit leg joined by potato fondant and port jus.

Desserts at The Prince’s Head pub are both indulgent and creative. Try the spiced pinot noir poached pear with butter shortbread, or white chocolate with brioche bread and butter pudding, crushed raspberries, and cream. As well as a wealth of real ales, a selection of wines from around the world is also available.

With Richmond Train Station an 8-minute walk away, central London can be reached in just 20 minutes from The Prince's Head in Surrey. Please note that highchairs and baby change facilities are not available at this restaurant.

My 2 courses were fine but my wife's 'crispy halloumi' unexpectedly turned out to be deep-fried in breadcrumbs. Worse, her 'medium rare' steak order arrived distinctly medium and was declined but cancelled from the bill without a quibble.

The second time that we have visited. We had a nice table in an area at the back of the pub. The food was nicely presented and very tasty. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

A great pub - welcoming, friendly and great atmosphere. We booked a table for two before going across to watch the rugby at Twickenham. Food and drink were excellent and very reasonably priced. The steak and pride pie - wonderful, wills boar ragu with pasta - excellent and then we shared a generous slice of the spiced pumpkin and sultana pie with honeycomb ice cream .......just yummy !!! Will definitely return to the Prince's Head and would definitely recommend to others. Very easy to get to Richmond station for a short train ride into Twickenham...... 10/10 !

Food and service were both excellent. Bit disappointed that they ran out of quite a few things on the menu by six. But it's obviously very popular- and I will definitely be going back again.

Excellent Sunday roast beef. Good choices on menu.

Very good pub with good food (an excellent Sunday roast) and good service. The real ales were also well kept. Only issue was that we visited on a very hot day and some air conditioning would have been good.
