Food was lovely, really good! Best roast I have had in a long time, we definitely plan to visit again!

A renovated traditional country style pub, The Prince of Wales - Sheffield is a cosy retreat serving modern British dishes with European flair. The dining room combines wooden tables with fur-lined chairs and cowhide rugs, giving it a warm ambience.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Prince of Wales menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar at The Prince of Wales pub showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the bar. British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Prince of Wales in Sheffield is just an 8-minute drive from Sheffield station.

We had booked a table for 3 but when we arrived the table was in a draught from patio doors and the Manager kindly found us an alternative next to the window onto Ecclesall road, a good beginning. The service was excellent and the starters and main course were all exceptional, all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food.

Good atmosphere but lack of attention to detail in the service. Requested horseradish when asked if we wanted any sauces- it didn't arrive. My meal was cold, my partners wasn't- my meal was replaced (with fuss) but meant we didn't eat together. Deserrt came without the featured 'biscuit' rectified when pointed out. Charged £3 for extra gravy. Removed from bill when queried. The waitress was efficient but lacked warmth & a smile.

Nice ambience but not enough staff so service wasn't very good. I even had to go and order more drinks myself

Service very friendly and efficient. Food pretty average. I had lamb steak which hadn't been rested long enough and there was a pool of blood on my plate. Trying to combine it with a very oily pesto didn't work at all. Ambience okay. Could improve considerably by getting a more experienced head chef. This pub / restaurant/ eating house would be a great success considering the type of clientele attracted

A late Sunday lunch booking for a family meal. The restaurant was busy, but the service was good (except for a slight mishap with the gravy) and the food served in a timely manner. The quality of the food and size portions were excellent - the meat tender, the Yorkshire puddings hadn't gone crispy and the vegetables nicely cooked. Will definitely go back.
