Enjoy classic afternoon tea in the gorgeous surroundings of The Potting Shed restaurant, inside Dorset Square Hotel. This beautiful Regency townhouse is situated on a leafy private garden square in Marylebone, on the edge of Regent’s Park and a just a few minutes’ walk from Marylebone and Baker Street train stations.

The potting Shed afternoon tea is classically simple. Sample delicious sandwiches including truffled egg mayonnaise, smoked salmon on rye with horseradish cream, coronation chicken with pomegranate and rosemary as well as English cucumber and cream cheese. Joining the timeless tradition of scones with clotted cream and preserves are various sweet delights including hazelnut financiers, lemon tart with grapefruit meringue, chocolate cake with crème fraîche and pâte à choux with coffee crème. An impressive range of teas are also available to complement the sweet and savoury treats.

Led by their bespoke English breakfast tea, the full menu features speciality teas and infusions from around the world. The Potting Shed also features a variety of teas to accommodate dietary requirements on request, including vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free options.

Sitting on the edge of Regent's Park, The Potting Shed at the Dorset Square Hotel is a 3-minute walk from both Baker Street and Marylebone train stations.

The place is cozy intimate setting well curio edited theme around the sport cricket. The staffs however are quite disorganized. Seems like they have no table assignments because after we gave our orders to the young gentlemen, a lady comes to take it again. Missed to bring one of the tea and forgot all about the champagne but got billed for it. Plus we got charged for the tea as extra supposed to be included to the menu. Food is just ok.

I went there for an afternoon tea… The area, the environment, the hotel and restaurant decoration are a real success.
Unfortunately food served with afternoon tea was much disappointing to me. I don't like truffle and they was some in the egg sandwich. There were to much sweet things and not enough salted savories to me… All the more than I found patisseries basic and rough. Scones, clotted cream and jams were alright… But I am a bad judge because I think I will never match with this "afternoon tea" concept (I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner ;-). The green tea was excellent though !

Lovely afternoon tea for a family birthday, wonderful that the children had a different menu, if you didn't like something they swapped it for something else once you had read the menu. Lovely, welcoming staff, very friendly. Nice atmosphere and decor in the building. Very well priced. Highly recommend

Extremely basic food (nicebut nothing at all imaginative), lovely scones (favourite part), unimpressive desserts, and kids cupcake came with vile looking and tasting icing (chemical red and vile dark sage green - likeChristmascolours gone wrong - and it was April). Suggest a lovely yellow and soft blue for future. Ambiance okay but completely empty. Wouldn't go back.

Fantastic service, friendly and helpful, afternoon tea excellent (although the scones were a bit dry)
Interesting, cosy venue, only a stone's throw from Baker Street Station. I would definitely go again!

Great service. Good selection of food. Not all the sandwiches were as fresh as they should have been.
