With a colourful history attached to a West Indian fruit plantation owner, The Pomeroy Little Chalfont is both classic and modern in its appearance and dedication to traditional British pub cuisine. With an appealing cream exterior, the interior is brimming with stylish art, ornate mirrors, eclectic and colourful furniture and cushions. The food can be savoured by the cosy log-fire or in the al fresco garden in summer.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Pomeroy menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Pomeroy Arms ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The beautiful Pomeroy is just 4 minutes’ drive from Amersham.

Customer reviews for The Pomeroy

Good atmosphere, attentive staff, friendly service.
Afraid we had to send the chicken, bacon and avocado salads back though because they were so oily and did not taste of honey mustard dressing at all. Staff very kind though and the next plateful without the dressings was much better. Need to look at that dish and check its dressing because three of us thought it was bitter and so oily we could not eat it

As usual The Pomeroy is one of the best eateries outside of the city and compares with many of the best in the city of London. The menu is first class the food is of high caliber. The service is of a high standard and the friendliness of all that work there is second to none. It makes me think that all the people that work there must be very happy in there work place. It is apparent by the relaxed mood and warm welcome that I and my friends have be given each time we have visited there. The ambient surroundings are, I think appealing to both the young and the older dinner. A very good place to dine out " Well Done The Pomeroy"

very good menu, food very good great surroundings, excellent staff.Five of us eat lunch and all of us were very impressed. All of the staff were very welcoming as we sat drinking after lunch. There was a staff changeover and the next staff were as equally welcoming a good day out thank you. We are a group of old retired friends who at this moment are not to well and we try to get out every couple of weeks as we don't know how long we have left. So we try to make the best of it while we have time and we will do this again, very good.

Went for the for Sunday Lunch, refurbishment works have been carried out well, and sitting area in the front is a vast improvement. Food was good but starter portions on the small side, and the main Sunday roasts lacked sufficient vegetables
Just needs some fine tuning. And small attention to detail.

10 people eating Sunday lunch a, including Lamb, Beef, Chicken, and pork. No apple sauce with pork after meals delivered! Some didn't have the lovely big Yorkshire puddings and had to ask, they came out nearly three quarters of the way during meal. The Lamb tasted like it had been cooked in the beef tray! It was tough and too well done. The place was too busy for the chef to keep up. We waited nearly an hour for our meal and we had a two year old with us. So overall as I was the person who recommended the table I was slightly unhappy. On a plus side, the manager gave us. Discount on the meal.
