A refurbished gastro pub in the historical village of Eynsford, The Plough Inn serves a selection of modern British dishes. With sheepskin-covered chairs, exposed stone walls & leather armchairs, the bar & restaurant provide plenty of cosy corners to enjoy a drink or a hearty meal.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Plough Inn menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Plough Inn bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Plough Inn in Kent is a 3-minute drive from Lullingstone Castle & World Garden, a 9-minute walk from Eynsford Castle, and a 10-minute walk from Eynsford Rail Station.

Waitress was excellent but felt sorry for her when she had to tell us half the menu was not available.
Surely a decent manager would obtain supplies elsewhere if they did not turn up. Maybe being out of 1 or 2 things but not that many.
Chicken was great either and no offer. Of reduction in bill when desert was 7.95 and no popping candy.
Overall experience not good but waitress was excellent

    Lovely menu
    Food presentation was poor

    Veg was cold

Garlic prawns were over cooked and did not taste of garli at all

Unfortunately, we did not have a good service at The Plough in Eynsford. We waited an hour for starters, which were just pate and baked camembert! The manager was very apologetic and said it was due to a computer error. Also, unfortunately the belly of pork that one of our friends had was too hard to eat. The manager deducted the meal from the bill and also gave a 25% discount for the remainder of the bill. We had not been to The Plough for a while and thought it would be a nice change as it was halfway between my house and our friend's house. We were celebrating my partner and I being together 14 years, but our friends were very unhappy and would have left had they not been with us!!

Beautiful location and lovely interior. Service rather slow but excellent waitress. Food good but not special. Mustard and apple sauce served in jars - unusual. Sherry served in a brandy balloon.
