Described as a ‘hidden gem’ by The Independent, and winner of 'Best Bar & Pub' at Time Out's Love London Awards 2015, The Phoenix Theatre is tucked away down the same side street used in the opening sequence of Harry Potter. The lively bar and restaurant is found in the original dressing rooms and rehearsal rooms of The Phoenix, and serves up seasonal British dishes.

With over 30 years of culinary experience, executive chef Ian Marvell uses fresh, locally sourced produce to create a range of seasonal European dishes. The Phoenix Artist Club menu is packed with produce from a local butcher, and a family fishmonger who delivers personally from his shop in Primrose Hill.

Reflecting its theatrical environment, the walls of The Phoenix Artist Club are lined with signed posters, and pictures from decades of productions. With a restored Art Deco interior, hidden treasures lie in every corner.

The Phoenix Artist Club in London is a short walk from both Tottenham Court Road and Covent Garden Tube stations.

Quirky place tucked away but well signposted. Staff friendly and welcoming. We had the pre-theatre menu of two courses + glass of Prosecco for £17:95 and thought it very good value. The menu was varied with lots of choice: portions were generous and very tasty. Service was good snd we finished in good time for the theatre.

Fabulous experience. The setting was really unique, very arty with all the memorabilia. The service was lovely, all the staff were really friendly. The food was excellent. amazingly good value with the deal. Our party of 9 were all very impressed and we are all definitely keen to go back asap! What a of the few independents, go and support them, you won't be disappointed.

As I was booking for a group one of which needs gluten free, I called the restaurant.. The lady could not have been lovelier on the phone assuring me of taking care of us.
We were greeted warmly and the service was excellent. The chef even came to the table to discuss the menu with the gluten free customer. He cooked her a special dish.
All the meals were excellent and the fish and chips superb!!
Top marks to all of them!
