Serving as an inn since the 18th century, The Packe Arms takes its name from a prestigious Victorian family. This sense of class still remains, through the accomplished menu of classic British dishes, the attractive gardens for al fresco dining and stone tiles. With fantastic views over the picturesque village of Hoton and surrounding countryside, the seasonal food can be enjoyed in summer or winter, in the garden or by the fireplace.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Packe Arms menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Packe Arms ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Packe Arms, in Hoton, is just 4 minutes’ drive from Loughborough.

We chose to eat at The Packe Arms because it was conveniently placed for all members of the group and the timetable for the rest of the day.

Very nice, but for a Sunday lunch and the money you paid the portions were VERY small ( Children's portions for adults )

Welcoming friendly staff .. Good choice menu reasonably priced. Although very busy (Saturday night) didn't have to wait too long and food was hot when it arrived... One of our steaks wasn't cooked as ordered .. Apologies made and replaced the food also a reduction was made to our bill.. Excellent customer service

Starter (calamari) potion too small for price. Main and sweet excellent.
Service poor and table requested not available. Drinks order messed up especially my rum and coke order.

As pensioners on a low income, we always look for Value for money restaurants. This fits the bill perfectly - good food, very pleasant staff and a warm and inviting venue.
We are tea-total and only have a main course, - appetites not what they once were ! so we are not very profitable customers, but this makes no difference to the service we have received here. Fully recommend and will be back for more soon

Great food. I would definitely recommend the battered halloumi. Portions were a good size but not too big. Had room for a lovely dessert. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. My only quibble was that by 10:00 it was almost empty and we felt we had to leave. It may be that it shuts earlier than must pubs but we weren't aware of this.
