Accommodating, baby friendly, cheerful staff, lovely food and service.

Better experience than previous time (6 months ago) which was dreadful particularly around service and late food.

Happy to say that restaurant has redeemed itself.

Many thanks!

Evoking summery beachside charm, The Oyster Shed serves nostalgic British delicacies. In the dining room, cosy booths and squashy sofas are scattered with pretty patchwork cushions, whilst floor-to-ceiling windows look onto London’s most famous landmarks.

Showcasing wholesome, moreish flavours, The Oyster Shed menu is bursting with classic British recipes. Rich, rustic dishes include pulled pork shoulder with spiced apple sauce, or simmering Lancashire hotpot for 2 to share. A market fresh specials board at Oyster Shed Monument spans from langoustines, to succulent 28-day aged steak.

For dessert, old school recipes include treacle tart with clotted cream, or apple pie and custard. Perched at a chunky wood table or basking in a plush leather armchair, enjoy a smooth ale or fine wine from The Oyster Shed bar.

The flagship site of the celebrated Geronimo Inns, The Oyster Shed London offers an expansive al fresco area during summer. Monument Tube Station is 5 minutes’ walk away.

staff are really helpful , menu is good but was expecting to see more fish and seafood options and less meat - maybe because the name sort of gives that impression ? Just as well you are not called the crab and lobster ...

Nice restaurant with a good menu and wine selection, and also quite a lot of daily specials to choose from too. Both of us really enjoyed the food - tasty, good quality and good portion sizes. The service was really friendly and helpful too, and a nice pub downstairs and with outside seating by the river with a view of the Shard. I would definitely book and eat there again as it's one of the best places around Cannon Street for food.
