I don't think we'll be going back to the Orangery for afternoon tea. Every other afternoon tea we've been to is quick to offer additional sandwiches, refills on tea etc. We had to ask for additional sandwiches and more tea.

The Orangery is a really beautiful restaurant in a truly lovely building. We had a table looking out onto the garden and just sitting there was a pleasure! The staff were attentive and efficient and the tea we had was fabulous. The assortment of sandwiches and pastries was amazing and what's not to like about a glass of pink bubbles?! The selection of teas included black and green teas and we opted for Earl Grey and Upper Assam which were really good. We were offered refills but found everything to be portioned well enough that we left feeling very satisfied with our tea. I have no doubt that we will return there again in the future.

Excellent service and very attentive staff. The gluten free afternoon tea was the best one my wife has experienced.

Staff: We were well received by the host/front of house very polite friendly and formal, staff were great, they had smiles and came to the table at the right times which were not intrusive, also staff helped with taking photos which were voluntarily offered.
Environment was very nice, bright open and pleasant, tables were spaced well, perhaps bigger round tables would be a nice feature as the table can get a bit cramped with just two people, so 4 people sitting it would be eating on the edge I imagine.
Food/Drink: well presented, very nice selection and tastes exactly as you would think they would, no disappointing flavours, it looked like there were two variations of the valentines afternoon tea, however, we had a great selection in out opinion as we didn't favour some of the other choices that were given to some others, but the staff do point out what dietary requirements do you have if any.
the only con was water was not offered as an aperitif, but as a sale on top of the tea for two price which was a shame but still a day which was made greater with this valentines afternoon tea.

The setting was beautiful, the food was good and the band was absolutely excellent - a lovely relaxed Saturday brunch

The food was good but the service was poor. We were seated on time but it took 30 minutes for someone to take a food order. At that point we had to ask to order drinks. Overall a three course meal took over two and a half hours. We had to seek attention from the staff to clear plates and bring the next course. Waiting to pay I ended going up to the management to pay.
