Wonderful lunch in the Orangery at Blenheim. Parents-In-Law had roast beef and we had cod. Every mouthful was delicious including the vegetable selection, yummy. Desserts were lovely too, rhubarb fool, chocolate tart and condensed-milk rice pudding. Complementary espressos too! Good value, friendly attentive service in a setting that could not be more quintessentially English. My parents-in-law are from Moscow and they were overwhelmed by the whole Blenheim experience and Winston Churchill is a hero to them too.

Very disappointing. Booked on line and given 14.45. Room, décor, staff all very good but food left a lot to be desired. First thing was kitchen closing in 7 minutes, why were we allowed to book at 14.45 then. Starter pea shoots dry been out long time not fresh. Souffle pleasant but bit dry maybe cooked earlier and warmed up? Main course roast potatoes hard maybe cooked and then warmed up? veg pleasant chicken okay. Sweet rice pudding excellant. Will give one more try but will come much earlier to get fresh food.

It was just ok. Both my friend and I had the afternoon tea. Very dull presentation. Very uninspiring. Nice setting, cool room on a very hot day, which was lovely. Service left a lot to be desired. To say that they add a 12% service charge (tip) on your check automatically, didn't expect to be flagging someone down for more hot water. No one asked us how everything was, they just brought the food and tea over and that was that. Scones were delicious.,

We very much enjoyed our lunch, with a window table in the elegant dining room (my only comment would be that table cloths or better table surfaces would do the room justice). The room was not full and it had good ventilation on the hottest day of the year so far.
I must give a special mention of the attentive service from all staff, the food was delicious and nicely presented.

We had the afternoon tea, service and food were excellent despite the very hot weather on the day. Staff were very attentive.

Although the actual afternoon tea experience was lovely, I was very frustrated to only find out upon arrival that we had to all pay for entry to the grounds and house just to get to the restaurant. Considering we didn't have time to actually see any of the house and grounds, I found this far too much, and I would definitely not book the Orangery for afternoon tea in future knowing this.

My two friends and I had a brilliant time - first afternoon tea at Blenheim for all of us. Not one complaint. Food was fantastic, staff were so friendly and accommodating and couldn't do more for us. The setting was stunning and we are all determined to revisit as it was so relaxing and enjoyable.
