We did not get off to a good start. The Orangery was very busy and no one had time to show us our table. After almost a five minute wait we were shown to our table and then the next wait started. To cut a long story short: we waited 45 minutes to get our afternoon tea. By then, our teas had gone cold. Cups were dirty, teapot chipped, and we had to ask for refill of tea twice before it came. Our waiter apologized several times and gave us adults a complimentary glass of champagne, which made all the waiting a bit easier. The food was good, but the sandwiches could have been fresher. All in all, we have had better service and afternoon tea elsewhere.

The Orangery is a great place, food and drinks are good. Had a Champagne afternoon tea with Easter Chocolate egg from Atelier du Chocolat, loved it. Only comments: was a bit slow sometimes and this is quite expensive. But lovely place and waiters/waitresses.

Best thing - the service was excellent! Food was good - the tables were small so everything was crowded. Forgot to use our privilege concession on our annual card (presuming we could have done). All in all, we enjoyed our visit very much.

    Atmosphere lovely
Disappointing no Earl Grey tea as they had run out. Lovely sandwiches but perhaps too many cakes and not enough scones/savouries.

Fabulous food, attentive service, spectacular surroundings. All four of us loved the afternoon tea, including our 85-year-old "picky eater".

Four of us ate, and the food was exceptional. One of the group is gluten free and this was catered for with no effort. Another of the group has had stomach surgery and can only eat small portions, and unlike other establishments we were allowed to order the child's portion. The beef and lamb roasts were cooked to perfection. Cant find anything bad to say about any of it

Lovely setting and good service. The food was good although the portions of bread offered at the beginning were rather small. The gnocchi dish was also a small portion size although it was filling.
