Fab nosh! All courses delicious, well cooked, well presented, great flavours. Nice real ale. Traveled from afar to treat big brother for birthday.

A homely local pub, The One Bull serves fresh, regional and seasonal foods, as well as its own craft ale and an extensive wine selection. Open fires and squashy leather armchairs are littered against a sprawling wine display backdrop, while the glass-ceilinged lounge is filled with natural light.

Sourcing excellent ingredients from local suppliers, The One Bull menu showcases sterling British classics and eclectic European flavours. Enjoy comfort food offerings like Pollock, chorizo and white bean stew, or slow-braised shoulder of lamb with boulangere potatoes and roasted carrots. Sunday roasts are also a firm favourite.

Alongside a wine list that combines old favourites with quirky and unusual bottles, The One Bull in Bury St Edmunds sources much of its bar stock from its very own micro-brewery. Sample pale ale and best bitter, as well as a range of seasonal brews.

A cosy retreat for gourmet cuisine and a superb cellar, The One Bull pub is in the historic heart of the town, and is a 10-minute walk from Bury St Edmunds Train Station.

An excellent meal , with a good choice of wine. Service was excellent, the staff being very welcoming and helpful.
With the large choice of restaurants in town I have not eaten at the One Bull for a while, but wonder why as the meal was one of the best that I have had in the town for a long time. I will be back.

Very friendly staff and great service. Food was excellent. Steak was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount per portion. Finished everything but felt full! Mid range pricing but well worth it in my eyes. Good selection of own brewed ales. Restaurant was half full when we were there on a Monday evening but imagine it to be busier on a weekend. Bar was busy but it wasn't noisy in the restaurant and it all added to the chilled atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Attractive town centre location, lovely centuries old building with a modern vibe and yet retaining many period features. We visited on a very warm stormy night but the spacious well laid out interior felt very cool and spacious in both the drinking and eating areas. Very comfortable seating again in both areas. Really helpful, efficient and friendly staff. Delicious food presented well. We willl definitely be back.

very nice. good food but only one veggie dish, brie and red onion tart. Couldn't taste the brie and it seemed it bit greasy. Wife couldn't actually find any rocket in the rocket salad. Would have liked more low fat options. Had the desert sharing board between 4 of us, which was ample. The bread and butter pudding was stodgy and fairly bland. The others were superb, especially the pannacotta and rhubarb.
