We enjoy eating at the One Bull. Their dinner service is extremely well run by friendly and helpful staff and their haddock and crab scotch eggs were inspired. Great wine list and good beers too.

A homely local pub, The One Bull serves fresh, regional and seasonal foods, as well as its own craft ale and an extensive wine selection. Open fires and squashy leather armchairs are littered against a sprawling wine display backdrop, while the glass-ceilinged lounge is filled with natural light.

Sourcing excellent ingredients from local suppliers, The One Bull menu showcases sterling British classics and eclectic European flavours. Enjoy comfort food offerings like Pollock, chorizo and white bean stew, or slow-braised shoulder of lamb with boulangere potatoes and roasted carrots. Sunday roasts are also a firm favourite.

Alongside a wine list that combines old favourites with quirky and unusual bottles, The One Bull in Bury St Edmunds sources much of its bar stock from its very own micro-brewery. Sample pale ale and best bitter, as well as a range of seasonal brews.

A cosy retreat for gourmet cuisine and a superb cellar, The One Bull pub is in the historic heart of the town, and is a 10-minute walk from Bury St Edmunds Train Station.

Myself and a friend had a deli board each and it was so lovely because you got to have a little bit of different things to try. Staff great as always!

Visited the One Bull for my birthday celebration with work colleagues. This was my first time visiting and had previously heard good reviews so thought I'd check it out. Food was amazing, absolutely no fault there. Just one issue was that, bearing in mind this was a celebration, the whole party were put on two separate tables, meaning I couldn't spend my time with everyone on one large table. My impressions was that the one bull can't caterer for more than one large party due to limited space?

EXCELLENT, I was with friends in the hospitality industry who said it was the best meal out they've had in a long time. The service was efficient and friendly; food superb (particularly enjoyed my pearl barley rissotto). Had a lovely big table and the whole atmosphere is fab. When will you open in Aldeburgh? We could do with a clone of The One Bull!

Really lovely dining experience. The food was very high quality. I loved the haddock scotch egg starter, we also had the chicken liver parfait which was delicious.
The hake with chorizo and muscle chowder was so delicious.
Best dining experience in Bury St Edmunds for a long time.
