A 17th-century coaching inn, The Old Stocks Inn sits in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold. Expect locally sourced, hearty British food, and a range of fine wines and craft beers. In the heart of the countryside and surrounded by some of the best suppliers of food and drink in the business, ingredients are all locally sourced, and menus change seasonally to reflect the very best the area has to offer. Before joining The Old Stocks Inn the head chef led the kitchen at The Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham and was previously the head chef at The King’s Head in Cirencester.

Super little restaurant - one of best meals I have experienced. Clever, innovative & delicious food in ambient surroundings.

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening in terms of ambience, service and the quality of the cooking. This is a welcome addition to the dining experiences available in Stow on the Wold.

What a wonderful evening we had at the Old Stocks! Delicious seasonal food, excellent service and a lovely setting. I would highly recommend and we will be returning.

Had a celebratory birthday lunch here with a friend. The food was delicious in particular the Banoffee dessert - every mouthful was a delight. We also particularly enjoyed the ginger ale, lime and mint non-alcoholic cocktail which was very refreshing. The whole experience was really enjoyable with friendly and attentive staff in a chic yet comfortable setting. I'd recommend The Old Stocks Inn to friends and would definitely return here again. Thank you.

Just what we need. Good food, great restaurant with a masterclass class chef to boot! It's such a great boast when friends come to visit, especially when it's right on your doorstep (well... almost).

the fine dinning at the Old Stocks Inn was excellent - in particular enjoyed the salmon 9gin infused) started and the lamb main course.

A very warm welcome when we first arrived followed by a cheeky pre dinner drink.
Service was smooth sailing and food came out at a good pace.
Goats cheese starter was heavenly as were the scallops.
Mains were delicious...Brill for me and Chicken for the Mister.
My only criticism of the service was we got asked by multiple servers in quick succession if we wanted more drinks or dessert, which although was very friendly was a bit too much and the attention started feel a bit too focused.

Found the Scallop starter a little bland although scallops were cooked perfectly. Lamb main course was very nice apart from the potatoes were under cooked and hard. Chocolate dessert was excellent. Service was good although we waited to long to order dessert and was very hard to get attention of the staff. The place itself is lovely and the ambience was great for a mid week evening.
