A canal-side town pub from award-winning pub group, Brunning & Price, The Old Harkers Arms sits at the heart of Chester. With a buzzy, cosmopolitan vibe, the pub serves refined gastro pub cuisine in a relaxed setting.

Light bites on The Old Harkers Arms menu range from smoked haddock kedgeree, with a delicate poached egg, to a hearty warm pulled pork sandwich on toasted bloomer. Moroccan-spiced cod sits alongside a smoked paprika couscous and chickpea tagine, while a sumptuous venison and smoked bacon pie is served with smooth mustard mash and carrots.

Desserts at The Old Harkers Arms pub in Chester hold no punches with delectable sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge tart, which can be enjoyed in leather dining booths alongside tightly-packed bookcases and an abundance of local artwork. A sophisticated wine list is the perfect match for the waterside al fresco area, in front of the pub’s rustic red brick façade.

Just a 5-minute walk from Chester Station, The Old Harkers Arms sits beside the Shropshire Union Canal at 1 Russell Street. Unfortunately, due to the pub's 'city boozer' style, it is not suitable for children.

Lovely location and a beautiful place. Food was excellent- I can especially recommend the cod loin. The staff were friendly and helpful , I asked if they did Gaelic coffees and the waitress said they weren't on the menu but that she would do one for me. Lovely evening
