We hadn't been to the Nut Tree for about 18 months, and chose it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed, impeccable and friendly service, gorgeous food and the perfect wait in between courses. A special mention to the salted caramel egg pre-dessert which wasn't on the menu and arrives as an extra surprise. Really, really lovely and great value for money.

Beautiful old pub, well maintained and tastefully extended to provide additional eating area when required. Balanced menu with traditional and imaginative new food preparations. Small but balanced selection of good beers. Sensible selection of wines at moderate prices. Staff are friendly, professional, attentive and informative. Most importantly, the food is very well prepared and presented. My latest visit is the second and delicious food is consistent.

Had lunch yesterday, opted for the Tasting Menu. Food was fantastic. We had been several times previously and it never disappoints.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Nut Tree Inn and the service was excellent. The complimentary appetiser was a particularly nice note. Only downside was that my father and I would have preferred to be seated in the old pub part of the restaurant as the extension is a little sterile.

Great 18th Birthday Meal - Pork Tenderloin was beautiful and excellent choice of veg and sauce flavours to accompany it - really nice touch to be given a happy birthday plate with the egg pudding - carafe of wine is a good option and enjoyed the Portuguese red - will be back
