This place is amazing. Been there two times and I am going again next month. Food is soooo good, and I highly recommend the tasting menu.

Inspite of great Telegraph reviews we 4 found the whole experience entirely underwhelming. No 1 member of staff seemed to take responsibility for our table. The food was expensive and portions were 'mean'; my celiariac puree was no more than a minimal 'smear' on the plate. Torte of lamb really poor, gnocchi poor. Beer and fish and chips good quality and value but evening really disappointing. Sorry to say.

Friendly welcome, attentive service and, as usual, excellent food. A slightly odd situation occurred where there must have been a mishap with 2 of the desserts. The Third dessert was brought out, but then as an apology that we were not eating the final course together, a 2nd one was brought when the others eventually appeared. Seemed a slightly odd/unnecessary solution to a situation that wasn't really a problem for the sake of a 5minute delay. But we appreciated the sentiment.
The amuse bouche of courgette soup was just divine and the chocolate praline egg is always a brilliant sugar hit treat at the Nut Tree.

The atmosphere was great. We had the tasting menu, the food was overall good. However the service was quite poor (front of house, waiter and somelier: friendly but slow and unknowledgeable
