Friendly staff and great drinks. The Sunday roast was disappointing (very rare beef which was still mooing!) and no kids menu, starters and small pudding choice although the treacle tart was lovely. I would go here to drink more than eat!

A charming yet cosmopolitan hideaway, The Northcote is one of South West London’s best-loved pubs. Offsetting the quirky dining room, relaxed pavement dining offers views of the upmarket Battersea bustle.

Moreish, comforting flavours are weaved through The Northcote menu, wih all made using prime British produce. The Northcote in London offers dishes like honey-glazed ham hock with champ potatoes, beer-battered cod with mum’s chips, or chicken, mushroom & cider casserole.

Priding itself on one of the most comprehensive bar stocks in the area, The Northcote in Battersea offers fine wines, smooth cask ales and a specialist range of tequilas. For a taste of indulgence, sample desserts like flourless chocolate cake, or warming apple and cinnamon pie with generous helpings of custard.

Filled with mismatched furnishings and trinkets, this friendly inn is a homely yet refined retreat. Clapham Junction Rail Station is a 6-minute walk away.

Manageress was lovely. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Steak was very good, cheese sandwich was surprisingly bad.

Never have I spent [$] in a pub and been treated so appallingly. My friend and I arrived there about 2 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and found a table which we shared with various other people throughout the course of our stay. We had a couple of burgers and three bottles of wine which were very nice to be fair. The day shift staff were very friendly as well. Later into the evening one of the evening shift bar staff (possibly the Manager) comes along and slips a brown tile onto the table. I thought nothing of it because there was another identical tile already on the table with the salt and pepper on it. About half an hour later the same guys comes along to tell everyone sitting on the table that it had been reserved and we all needed to vacate the table pointing at the tile which on closer inspection had some writing scrawled on it. So, after a little bit of confrontation we left the table and finished our drinks standing up in the packed pub while three young ladies who the bar staff obviously knew [...] - moved in. I think the treatment we received speaks volumes about this establishment.

[...]service was fairly quick at first. They had run out of roasts (on a Sunday at 2 pm) so me and a friend ordered the pork cheek with mash and apple compote and it was tasteless, dry and very disappointed. My gf and another friend ordered a lamb steak with the roast trimmings and it was ok. We ordered desert and they forgot to put the order through to the kitchen. Once we reminded them (after 40 minutes waiting) we still had to wait for another 30 minutes to get them actually to our table. Definitely not good.

I had one of the worst meals I've ever had in this pub just after 330pm on 13 March. Supposed to be Roast beef and Yorkshire, but it was not a Yorkshire ! Batter had not been used, more like a cake mixture. The cabbage was boiled to extinction, disgusting. The meat was in chunks on the plate. It was just a disaster. It was also over-priced given what it was. If the pub had a website I'd have contacted them online. This is the next best thing. There was nothing great about this meal. I would never go there again.
