This is a truly first-class restaurant. I lunched here with a friend using one of the deals - we were not disappointed. Excellent food and champagne, first class service and a highly elegant venue. We will return!

Set in a majestic building dating back to 1885, The Northall at Corinthia Hotel London offers fine British dishes. A breathtaking dining room features lofty corniced ceilings, glitzy mirrored panels and a centrepiece marble bar.

The Northall Strand prides itself on the sustainability of ingredients, and offers a fully traceable menu. Rich, moreish dishes offer a celebration of the British kitchen, with favourites like corn-fed chicken with chicory and dauphinoise potatoes, or Goosnargh duck with pickled red cabbage.

Spanning from hand-chopped steak tartare to supreme wines and champagnes, The Northall in London offers an inspired selection at the pristine bar. Delectable desserts from The Northall menu include passion fruit and mango pavlova with blueberry powder, or chocolaty dainties from chocolatier Damien Allsop.

An opulent yet edgy setting, The Northall restaurant features plush burnt orange banquettes, expansive sash windows and striking fuchsia pink flower displays. Embankment Tube Station is just a minute’s walk away.

The food was amazing, the service impeccable, ambience out of this world, we shall be back. Only downside is the price of the wine.

Despite having booked a lunchtime and the set meal including free flowing champagne, we were advised by the waiter that the deal only applied to dinner reservations, not lunch. I queried this and showed the booking confirmation and to be fair, they did honour the deal, but it was not a good start.
However the set menu was fine and the food was very good. The champagne was indeed free flowing and we never had to ask for top ups.
I thought the price of the coffee at £6 each was a bit steep but overall we enjoyed the lunch. The staff were all very friendly and courteous.

It started well. The door was opend for us, the chair was pulled out, the napkins placed on laps. This was a table booking for 3pm. This was a problem to the waiting staff, they asked us to quickly decide and order our food because the kitchen closed at 3pm. So a downward step (why take a booking at 3pm?).
    The food was all fine.
But, then we had the vacuuming, the atmosphere created by the inital good service of the opened door, the chair and the napkin were stripped away in one instant. I asked a waitress if the man vacuuming could stop and she explained that there was just a 30 minute gap now before service started again at 5.30pm so it was the only opportunity that he had to do it and he continued! We were just having our coffee brought to us, it was less than two hours after our arrival.
If he was under instructions to vacuum to ensure everywhere looked perfect for guests then their opinion matters, then surely the guests present during the vacuuming should be the priority more than future guests who may or may not spot some dust on the carpet and may or may not then be offended by it.
What a shame from the good beginning.
I will return but not for a 3pm booking if it means being rushed into ordering and listening to the vacuum cleaner. Don't take 3pm bookings!

The cocktail bars & staff were great. Unfortunately the restaurant fell well short of expectations this time. They served us hot water instead of cold, service was slow, what was advertised as herring on the menu turned out to be mackerel, one of the side dishes arrived after we had finished our main courses and the waiter set fire to a napkin on the table next to ours! We have been several times, but will not be going back again.

Had set menu lunch at this restaurant and it was just perfect. The decor, flowers, chandeliers were beautiful. Had the best Gin and Tonic ever served by the charming and knowledgeable barman, I recommend the Kew Garden Organic gin.
The food was wonderful and the service was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. they made my friend and I feel very special.

I will certainly return to this restaurant

Amazing location, professional staff, magical atmosphere for my mum's birthday. Personally, I enjoyed the lamb belly and the sorbet selection. Next time I would like to indulge more at the cocktail bar, superb selection of gin.
