Always a great place to visit, good food, great staff and value, love the Bury black pudding starter.

From the early 18th century, The Nag's Head Inn Knaphill has fantastic views over farmland with beautiful gardens from which you can dine. Boasting British favourites on its menu, it values its rustic history and thus features a toasty log fire, classy stone floors and other traditional trinkets.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Nag's Head Inn menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Nag's Head Inn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

At just a 12-minute walk from Brookwood Station, or 9 minutes in the car from Woking, The Nag's Head Inn has a country setting but is close to the town.

We had a delicious meal which was a lovely end to a good day. Our waitress was attentive, efficient and funny.

Had lunch at the Nag's Head with two friends. Very good food - with a good selection of fish, meat & vegetarian dishes - and very efficient, friendly service. I frequently dine at the Nag's Head and have never been disappointed by the food or service.

The interior is lovely, however we were disappointed by the food and service. The main courses took a long time to arrive, some had obviously been under a heater for some time as some of our food had the giveaway dried crust on the top and was no longer hot. The children's meal didn't come with the advertised salad. When we asked the waitress, instead of an apology, she asked if we still wanted it, giving the kids the perfect opportunity to say turn down their vegetables. Unfortunately we won't be returning as our party agreed that there are plenty of better options for pub food in the area.

Food and service excellent but we did notice that the windows inside and out were filthy

I have visited The Nags Head Inn on a number of occasions and when it was previously called the Hunters Lodge and on every occasion I have never been disappointed by the food. Since becoming The Nags Head Inn, the food has however improved. However, may I take this opportunity to point out that the Bookatable website still has a picture of The Hunters Lodge on its website and not The Nags Head Inn !!

On my last visit, I met up with an old friend for lunch at 1230 on 22 December. On this occasion, the reception arrangements were NOT very good and we had to wait a while to be acknowledged and eventually taken to a table which I had reserved. Once seated, the service was not particularly swift, although, as we were not in a particular hurry it did not really concern us, but I did think that if one was popping in for a work time lunch, waiting for attention/service would have detracted from what was very enjoyable food. We chose the Festive Menu and had a delicious Christmas Lunch and Christmas Pudding. All in all, the food was good and reasonably priced, but the service and attention requires someone to look at it, particularly at lunch time when businessmen may have lunch and are constricted by time.

I have known this pub since the 70s, used to be called The Hunter's Lodge, in recent years now known as The Nag's Head. In all the years that I have visited this hostelry, under both names, I have always found the food and service to be very good.

I did point out to the waitress that when I went on to the website for The Nag's Head to book the table, they still had photos of The Hunter's Lodge !!

Good food and good service.Although we did go when it wasn't busy mid week lunch time, when i went last time they didn't have what i ordered so the experience wasn't so good and the staff weren't as good.
