Amazing service - so attentive and friendly. Starters & desserts are fantastic, main course choices fairly limited BUT very nice. Our glasses were never empty and as well as prosecco there are other choices which are explained to you when you sit down for your meal.

I took my husband for the Saturday New York Brunch as a birthday present and it absolutely lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive, not overly so,and welcoming. They talked us through what we could expect and then promptly filled our glasses with Prosecco and from then our glasses were never emptying. Next a waiter came round and made us Bloody Marys,I had a medium spiced Mediterranean version with their own special addition and my husband went for the traditional option-both were delicious.
We started our buffet at the cold meat /salad table-I opted for a freshly made Caesar salad while the husband opted for a Prawn Cocktail, both were made in front of us by a chef. We went back for some cold meats, mozzarella and tomatoes and there was also a choice of peppers, olives etc.
After a little break in which I had a slice of the best pizza I've ever had,my order was taken for a freshly prepared four cheese risotto. If I had eaten nothing else that day that risotto would have stayed with me,it was so delicious. The meatballs my husband had were equally as good. We were starting to struggle but there was still a long way to go. They offer freshly made pizza, pasta and risotto - the pizza is brought round regularly and it's very hard to say no! In hot plates you can find salmon, steak and jacket potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and the peppercorn sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The dessert area offered mini lemon tarts, pecan pies, brownies, tiramisu as well as another chef making Belgian waffles and pancakes with a variety of toppings.Obviously we tried one of everything! I was beaten by the menu at this point but my husband valiantly attacked the cheese board with a couple of glasses of great red wine.
The whole experience was amazing and we are already planning return trip. It's a great place for a special occasion and I would recommended it to anyone.A big thank you for the the birthday dessert you provided as a surprise

The three course meal with a glass of Champagne for just £28 was worth every penny.

The service was impeccable, the food was amazingly out of this world, cooked to perfection. The ambience at the Montagu was second to none

I will recommend my friends and family to The Montagu

Generally the ambience is very conducive to a relaxed and charming atmosphere. Lovely pianist playing in the background. Food generally good with the exception of my portion of chips with the cod. They were clearly frozen out of a packet and hard. Ruined the display and taste of the rest of the food. I'm also quite certain I was charged for the complimentary Champagne that was part of the star deal despite querying this with the waiter. He said I was paying £75 and when I got home I realised it was £84!

    LOVELY FOOD, LOVELY SURROUNDINGS

Very impressed as the food and service was excellent and the pianist playing in the back ground was most enjoyable. We had the special pre theatre meal which is such excellent value and included a glass of champagne. I would highly recommend dining there.

Returned to the Montagu after a previous great experience. Booked through bookatable and had the £25 per peron for 3 courses plus a complementary glass of champagne. Although the choice from the a-la-carte is restricted the food left on offer is nothing short of amazing and probably the best value for money I have ever eaten. From arival to leaving the service was excellent and our waitress Lena was very very nice, happy to chat but knowledgeable about the food at the same time. Overall another fantastic meal and will definitely be returning, hopefully for the chefs table next time and will recommend to all my friends.
    Thank you The Montagu
