With an extensive patio for warm weather al fresco dining, The Minnow is a refurbished country-style pub serving modern British cuisine with European influence. The light-filled dining room, with its ceiling beams, ethnic ornaments, fireplaces and armchairs, presents plenty of cosy corners for intimate dining.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Minnow menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Minnow bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Minnow in Weybridge is a 7-minute drive from Shepperton Rail Station.

    Exception food and service

Overall a disappointing first visit to the minnows since it's refurbishment. There was no way to get to the booking desk, which was too far from the enterance, due to congestion in the doorway. After eventually being shown to our table we had a long wait to even get a menu, and an even longer wait to place the food order. Asking for some water three times didn't enhance the experience either. But when the food did arrived it was worth the wait as was delicious. Unfortunately the waiting staff were inexperienced and lacked customer service skills which in turn made the whole experience rather painful and not a pleasurable evening.

    Great food, and good service!

The food was very disappointing and the descriptions on the menu were misleading. Nocellaria olives were not, the carne pizza was a pile of red peppers and very little meat. No Szechuan pepper on the squid. The kids burger was the smallest I've ever seen. Salad ingredients were fresh but all put together badly and not worth the money at all. We left without dessert or coffee.

Having booked the restaurant a couple of weeks in advance, we were disappointed to hear, on arrival that there was a very limited menu, due to the restaurant closing the next day for refurb. Fortunately we were able to find something we each liked. Certain areas of the pub did look worn so will be pleased to return after the improvements.

Waited 30 mins at table before I got up to ask if someone could take our drink and food order. Couldn't explain the pie from the menu to one of my party. No horseradish sauce for roast beef. Had to ask twice for the extra gravy we had ordered. Brought out sticky toffee pudding with chocolate not the advertised vanilla ice cream so sent it back. No vanilla ice cream available. No green tea available. Our server changed throughout the meal so never knew who to ask for anything. Been a regular customer but yesterday was very bad!!
