In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Traditional sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne. Oozing traditional British elegance, the restaurant serves a range of chic cocktails. Every Sunday, Melody hosts a lavish Sunday Roast on a carvery with many changing starters and desserts.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

The hotel is quaint and lovely, it feels really peaceful and looks like it's recently been refurbished. We had a free flowing champagne afternoon tea (there was a special deal) which was delicious, and staff were very attentive.

Really stylish traditional old school hotel. Perfect setting for afternoon tea. Excellent friendly service, quality and selection of food. Generous with the free flowing bubbles too! Excellent way to spend quality time with friends!!

Arrived early and sat down to wait but needed to buy a drink in order to sit there. Fancied a G&T, quoted a long list of gins but only Schweppes tonic! Decided on an ok whisky and dry although my partner loved her Hendricks and soda.
The 2 hours of the afternoon tea were wonderful, attentive and pleasant staff, lovely food, huge choice of tea and free flowing champagne.
Everything was replenished, or offered, before we requested it.
Sandwiches were great, cakes and sweets delicious, tea flavourful and diverse and the champagne was cold, dry and lovely.
I would, and have, recommend this to anyone. Book online for 2pm, arrive on time and float out at 4pm - FANTASTIC
