Sean, our waiter from Egoli (Johannesburg) was exceptional. Knew the menu in and out, made suggestions to enhance the meal and was very attentive, as well as super friendly. The food was cooked to spec, but would only recommend to friends, based on the service from Sean.

    Amazing food

The food was amazing, the best burgers we've ever tasted. Desserts could be better though, more choices would be nice. I had informed the restaurant beforehand that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday. When they called to confirm the booking they offered to sing happy birthday and provide sparklers during desserts, but sadly this did not happen.

I have eaten in most of the Meat & Co restaurants around the world. Australia , South Africa, and Dubai

This is the worst of them all. The place is dirty to start, walk up the stair and papers are lying around, dusty. looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time.

Then, I booked a table for 6. When I arrived , i told the waiter one of my guests (clients) where not coming, she showed me to a table that was only meant for 4 people and had now placed 5th chair. My client complained that there was not enough space, I asked to be moved, as there where plenty of free tables... why do that to business people?

Then I order wine, the water arrive 15 min later with the wrong vintage, and I had to explain that that was not the wine I had ordered. I notice this after he opens the bottle. Fine, I accept it and ask him to find the correct bottle, which he then takes another 15min and after two tries get the 2009 vintage. Thinking we are past that disaster, one of my clients then orders another bottle, same issue. You can't charge for a certain vintage in the fine wine section and serve a different one! It's different wine.

The steaks where good, except one had to be sent back as under cooked.

All in all, will not be going back to a meat & co again after that experience. I did hold your restaurants in high regard before but for London standard this is very poor.

    Regards, Ian
