Headed by Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw, The Mariners Public House is a contemporary pub and restaurant overlooking the Camel Estuary. Fantastic local produce is served, with live music events also featuring.

The Mariners Public House menu is packed with freshly caught seafood – there are Cornish mussels cooked in Wolf Rock IPA, Porthilly oysters with shallot vinegar, and potted Cornish crab served with Doom Bar bread. Steaks at The Mariners come exclusively from South West Farms, aged on the bone for 28-32 days.

There is also a popular Sunday lunch menu at The Mariners Public House Rock, including free range roast pork, vegetarian options like rosemary gnocchi, and desserts like Cornwall strawberries with vanilla set cream. As well as beers from Sharpe's Brewery, there are over 20 bottled varieties from around the world.

Showcasing the very best in Cornish produce, The Mariners Public House is a 35-minute drive from Roche Rail Station.

So disappointed. This was our Christmas present to ourselves for my hubby and I. When we were seated in the upstairs restaurant we were told that 2 of the specials were sold out and the steak on the main menu was also sold out. To have 3 of the mains unavailable on a limited menu, in my opinion, Is poor. I know that it was Christmas week but if items are on the menu we would expect them to be available. To say we were upset is an understatement, we asked for the bill for the drinks we had and left.

Dissappointing... 2 specials not available, no rib eye steak this has gone down hill since our last visit . Mr Outlaw please sort out what was an amazing pub with good food .... has a feeling of complacency !

Excellent Sunday lunch as always. Lovely staff, bright and cheerful despite being New Year's Day and exceptionally busy. Love coming here.

Food presentation and flavour combinations is excellent and portion sizes are generous. Only down side was having to wait for the bill for half an hour after asking three times. Views from the restaurant are brilliant especially when treated to a bright crisp winter day as we did.Had the scrumpet to start and Ling for main. Loved it. Beautiful. Couldn't mahange a desert after than lot!

Great food and great service, we were a large group and everything came out perfectly cooked...

Very good food, very friendly staff. There were two large tables (20+ group) - one filled with restless kids and the other with their raucous parents (actually women were fine, but a couple of the men were booming out like drunks). Little/no control of their restless kids by the end of the meal - from the Mums or Dads! Everyone is entitle to enjoy themselves, but I hope the parents reflected on their poor parenting the next morning. It was, frankly, very annoying for everyone in the surrounding tables (you'd accept that behaviour in a pub, but not a restaurant). It spoilt the ambiance. The food was very good, as always at a Nathan venue.

Amazing food and location, however the atmosphere was a bit cold. Staff were lovely.
