Restaurant was lovely. It's had a makeover recently and looks good! Staff all very attentive. My salmon dish from the specials with pea mash was excellent

With al fresco dining space in its leafy gardens, The Marchmont Arms is a refurbished country-style pub serving modern British fare. As well as a light-filled conservatory for dining, the pub comprises a bar & restaurant decked out with crushed-velvet seats & wooden floors, and warmed by open log fires.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Marchmont Arms menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Marchmont Arms bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Marchmont Arms is a 9-minute drive from Hemel Hempstead Rail Station.

Lovely setting. Food overall was very good. The only slight negative for me was the green beens, they were very hard, not even al dente, so unable to eat them. Waitresses were very friendly, service was a bit slow

The restaurant was spacious. The service was quick and friendly. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was full of children which was great as we have a one year old and made it a family friendly place.

Restaurant looks great, menu looked great, not cheap so was looking forward to a really nice meal but was unimpressed very unimpressed with the fish and chips. Frozen, bland, unseasoned fished fried in very old oil, equally uninspiring chips and peas. Won't be rushing back
