The Game Bird offers relaxed, informal dining any time of the day. A place to eat, drink and socialise, the focus is on modern British comfort cooking executed with style and panache, all wrapped in a seductive ambience that oozes cool sophistication.

Dedicated to following the seasons and supporting local artisans including award-winning family-owned farms, executive chef James Durrant has created a ‘theatre of the senses’ menu based on uncomplicated excellence: local, seasonal produce sits alongside time-honoured British classics.

Centre of attention are the traditional handcrafted trolleys that overflow with signature dishes including meat and game, pies, puddings and stews, and a mouth-watering Sunday roast.

In a setting reminiscent of an exclusive private members club, The Game Bird London sees while intimate dining booths set against a backdrop of pale blue walls and specially commissioned artwork. The chic Champagne Bar is the place for a glass of chilled champagne or a martini cocktail before dining in the restaurant.

Delightful. Good food. Attentive and understanding staff-we had 4 young children in a party of 9. Good value-but then we did go during the hotel 's January sale.

An outstanding experience on our anniversary. Staff were very attentive without being invasive. An impressive collection of teas available. Relaxing atmosphere. A lovely retreat in the heart of St James's. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! We had afternoon tea and it was brilliant. They seated us in front of a lovley fireplace on comfy sofas and the staff were nice and attentive, and also knew when to give us some space. We were so happy with the experience here I would highly recommend it to anyone!

My wife and I went to dinner at Lyttletons after a reception at the US Ambassadors residence. We arrived a little after 8.00pm and were immediately shown to our table by a very attentive maitre d'y. We ordered the mushroom risotto followed by the sea bream washed down with a glass of house claret. The risotto was exceptional and the sea bream was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I would strongly recommend this restaurant although the atmosphere is a little low key.

My friend and I took a visitor from Brisbane to afternoon tea at The Lyttleton Restaurant at The Stafford. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tea (together with a glass of champagne) was superb. The little open sandwiches on rye bread were just right and the scones and cakes absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish the cakes but were given a delightful box to take away. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted a special location in London for afternoon tea. The service was excellent and the ambience awesome. I would highly recommend.

I booked afternoon tea to celebrate my sister's birthday. We both enjoyed the tea very much and the whole experience. This is my second visit for afternoon tea and I would definitely come again.
