I had the pan cooked Lamb and my partner had a rib-eye steak and both were delicious. Although it was very busy we were not distracted by noise. The service was quick and pleasant. Overall had a great evening.

Nestled on the edge of Clent Hills, The Lyttelton Arms is a refurbished gastro pub with a sizable patio for outdoor dining, serving up wholesome modern British cuisine. With brick walls, open log fires, leather sofas & wooden floors, this country-style pub is ideal for an intimate gathering or a traditional Sunday roast.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Lyttelton Arms menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Lyttelon Arms bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The atmosphere and décor is lovely, cosy and welcoming. Our server was lovely but spent a lot of the time we were there apologising because the wait for our food was so long. We only had 2 courses but a 45 minute wait from ordering to get our first course and then about 40 mins to get desserts. The food was good when it arrived and the kitchen made a lovely Happy Birthday dessert plate for my daughter but it was so slow we then had to pay before our desserts arrived and then literally eat and run so we wouldn't be late to get somewhere afterwards! Technically the service is bad but actually it's neither the servers nor the kitchen's fault but the decision to pack the place to the rafters when neither the waiting staff nor the kitchen can cope with the amount of people there.

Having been many times this occasion was very disappointing. The chicken was minuscule, and it took nearly an hour for our desserts.
This was recognised by the management and the desserts were deducted from the bill entirely and we were charged half for the chicken.
