A classic London pub in Tufnell Park, The Lord Palmerston serves an inventive British menu. Big leather sofas, a real fire and rustic stripped floorboards hallmark The Lord’s laid-back style, with huge windows overlooking the front terrace and a quirky hidden beer garden.

Hearty dinner dishes on the Lord Palmerston menu include Welsh lamb sirloin, wood pigeon and polenta coated bream. Alternatively, there’s classic ale-battered cod and chips or the tasty Lord Palmerston burger.

There are plenty of lunch choices, including legendary Sunday roasts at the weekend, and intriguing British cheeses to complement your real ale. End your meal with apple crumble, sticky toffee cake with peanut ice cream or the indulgent dark chocolate brownie.

Hosting a weekly quiz night, big screen sport and live events, The Lord Palmerston in London provides entertainment as well as gastropub dining. The Lord Palmerston pub is a 6-minute walk from Tufnell Park Tube Station, on Dartmouth Park Hill.

Haven't been here for ages and it's great. Would definitely go back for Sunday roast and a lazy afternoon in the pub.

This was not my first visit of the pub, however I am not a frequent visitor either. My and my girlfriend usually go there to celebrate events like birthday etc. The reason we have chosen this place for this type of occasions is quite unique mixture of sophisticated and friendly atmosphere, let alone delicious food. This time, we were seated to different part of pub than the usual 'library' cosy living room we so looked forward to come back to. Our table was located in the winter garden (existence of which was unknown to me before). I had a direct view of serving hatch and opened door to a kitchen porter's sink. I understand someone could find the trent of observing 'chefs at work' appealing, however my vision of the atmosphere we have always experienced before could have not been more different. Cut the story short - the room was cold, the view of kitchen distracting, the food was good and I won't come back unless I am 100% sure I will not be seated to this winter garden. I just want my old room back!

We booked for Sunday lunch. The roast beef arrived without Yorkshire puddings, and some weird lie was told about why there were no yorkshires. The beef was stringy, the carrots undercooked, the cabbage over done, the potatoes were ok. Mostly, it is really annoying to be lied to by the staff about the food, particularly bad quality food. Avoid this place unless you are a real sucker for punishment.

Went for Sunday lunch, which I would recommend. They have a little al fresco terrace at the back and some picnic benches at the front. There was a cacophony of barking from the dogs in the back garden, so we escaped to the front!
