Very enjoyable meal. There were eight of us and we chose two of the sharing platters for "Starters" - they were excellent - lots of different tastes and plenty of it.
Also, very enjoyable main course - all eight of were very happy, and pleasantly surprised at the total bill. Can't go wrong.

A stylish gastropub in Shrewsbury, The Loopy Shrew boasts a wine bar, coffee bar, and restaurant. Comfy leather couches and candlelit shelves make for cosy snug areas, while the contemporary style and international menu of the restaurant attract people from miles around.

The Loopy Shrew menu spans the entire day, starting with gourmet brunch options like toasted Wenlock Edge ham and Cheddar croissant, and signature full English breakfasts. Later in the day, there are small plates with exciting combinations of international flavours, such as pan-seared Brixham scallops with roast chorizo, Appleyards black pudding, pea purée and local asparagus. Succulent steaks and lobster thermidor also feature on the grill menu, with pub classics, seasonal salads, and a dedicated vegetarian menu also served.

Desserts at The Loopy Shrew Shrewsbury include British classics given inventive twists, such as vanilla crème brûlée with thyme crumble, poached rhubarb and rhubarb sorbet, while the bar serves up a selection of world beers, premium spirits and wines.

Also serving up hugely popular roasts on a Sunday, The Loopy Shrew is a 9-minute walk from Shrewsbury Rail Station.

Really nice atmosphere, very good quality food if only slightly too large portions! Sounds ridiculous but they were huge. The staff for the most part were warm and friendly and it was very good value for money.

Our first visit and I'm sure it won't be the last. Lovely food, well presented and a good variety to choose from, We went on a Sunday so there was a roast menu option too. Friendly and attentive staff

The food was brilliant, and the restaurant was really nice, had a good atmosphere and was lovely and to sit in, not overcrowded. The people serving were really helpful and attentive. A great night out.

We arrived very early, but this was taken in stride. We were lead to a lovely table, the restaurant is divided into a number of smaller areas, keeping the noise down, but still being open enough to feel the general ambience. Food was amazing. I had a very well cooked (medium rare) steak and chicken liver parfait. However, stealing the show was my partners scotch egg which was just amazing.
