Great food, excellent service. The steak & mushroom pie is delicious. We always enjoy a warm welcome and will be returning!

Truly a traditional British country pub, The Longbridge Mill near Basingstoke dates back to the 15th century. Still a functional mill which sells its flour, the pub serves well-loved pub cuisine in a beautiful location on the River Loddon. With an authentic faded brick and timber appearance, The Longbridge Mill also features a charming hearth, outdoor seating, and takes pride in its milling equipment in the pub.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Longbridge Mill menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Longbridge Mill ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Longbridge Mill is just 6 minutes’ drive from Bramley Train Station, or 10 minutes to Basingstoke.

We had a lovely 60th birthday lunch for my sister. The food was very tasty, the staff were friendly and efficient. Having established the name of the birthday girl on arrival, the staff were kind enough to bring out our birthday cake with the candles lite and sang "Happy Birthday". All this when the restaurant was busy!

Very pleasant atmosphere. We met old friends and stayed from 12.30 until 4.00 with no pressure to leave. Food was very good.

We have eaten here several times in the past and always received very good food/service. However yesterday 2 people in my party ordered the roast pork which had obviously come out of some sort of pre packed tin foil tray i.e. Something you might find in Iceland not as described on the menu. The main issue was that they actually forgot to bring out one of our puddings and tried to charge for it. When I queried the cost. I was informed that it was sitting on the bar ?? I won't be returning here again.

Pleasant staff, food not so good, we go there at least once a month, 4 off us, the 2 gents had steak and ale pie , pies where mostly pastry the meat inside was very fatty and not much of it, hardly covered the base of the dish, vegetables where to well done, and sparse, Wife had chicken pie which was about the same as the beef pies, Meals all seem over priced for what you get. Booking service was very good.

The staff are very friendly and professional, you can visit the mill one Saturday afternoon in every month and volunteers are working it.
Hunter's Chicken and the Eton Mess are my partner's favourites:-)
